Florida Gators vs. Miami Hurricanes visitors list preview

The Florida Gators will kick-off the 2024 football season on Saturday afternoon in the Swamp when the Miami Hurricanes come to town.

Saturday’s game is a big opportunity for the Gators’ coaching staff as they will have the chance to host dozens of top recruits on campus.

GatorCountry brings you a visitors list preview for this weekend as it’s expected to be a big weekend inside the Swamp.

 

Gators going for the flip

This weekend several targets committed elsewhere will be in town to watch the Gators play.

Leading the charge will be Oregon receiver commit Dallas Wilson who’s scheduled to be in town as the Gators continue to chip away at Wilson.

Oregon offensive line commit Ziyare Addison has been in touch with the Gators since committing and he will be back in town on Saturday.

Auburn offensive line commit Tavaris Dice committed to Auburn over Florida but the Gators haven’t quit and still remain a threat here.

Georgia offensive line commit Dontrell Glover will be on campus for the first time this weekend to see the Gators in action.

Auburn offensive line commit Malik Autry has been a fixture in Gainesville and he will be back again this week.

Ohio State defensive line commit Jarquez Carter is a local guy that says he will keep an eye on how the Gators do this year and he will be in town to see it first hand on Saturday.

Florida State commit Myron Charles is another name expected on campus and the Gators continue to recruit him despite his commitment.

Florida State defensive line commit Javion Hilson is a guy that has kept his recruitment open despite being committed and he will in town on Saturday.

Ohio State defensive line commit London Merritt will make the short trip up from IMG on Saturday to see Florida.

LSU defensive back commit DJ Pickett is a name that fans have heard about for years and despite his commitment to LSU, Pickett still talks to Florida a lot.

 

Targets to visit

Linebacker Ty Jackson may be Florida’s top remaining target this year and he will be on campus this weekend to watch the Gators.

Linebacker Nathaniel Owusu- Boateng is a name that Florida has been hot and cold on and he will be on campus this weekend.

Quarterback Ryan Huff is currently committed to Old Dominion but he doesn’t have an offer from Florida yet. If the Gators decide to offer Huff then he’s someone the Gators could get.

 

Commits

Most of Florida’s commits will be in town this weekend to watch the first game in the Swamp. The following commits say they will be in town.

Running back commits Waltez Clark and Chad Gasper will be in town.

Receiver commits Vernell Brown III and Josh Moore will be in town this weekend.

Tight end commits Tae’Shaun Gelsey and Micah Jones both plan to make the trip.

Defensive line commits Joseph Mbatchou and Jalen Wiggins will be in town as well.

Linebacker commit Myles Jones and defensive backs Ben Hanks Jr. and Demetres Samuel Jr all plan to be on campus.

2026 quarterback commit Will Griffin, defensive backs Devin Jackson and Jaelen Waters all plan to be on campus.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism.
