The Florida Gators continued their big weekend in recruiting on Sunday as the coaching staff added their first 2024 commit to the class.
2024 linebacker Myles Graham (6-1, 200, Atlanta, GA. Woodward Academy)
committed to the Florida Gators over Alabama, Auburn Ohio State, and Texas A&M on Sunday.
“I will be committing to the University of Florida!!!!! #GoGators,” Graham said.
Graham has visited Gainesville several times under Billy Napier and the linebacker says he has felt like a priority from day one.
“They prioritize me in the linebacker position, they love the way I play,” Graham said on Florida making him a priority. “Coach Napier, I talk to him on the phone all the time, so they prioritize me a lot and make me feel special every time I come here.”
Graham is the son of former Gators running back great Earnest Graham and he says while the Gators want him to follow in his dad’s footsteps, they also need him to play a position of need for them.
“They are pushing the legacy button, coming here and following in my dad’s footsteps,” Graham said on Florida’s pitch to him. “It’s a big deal because he was a great player here obviously. But they are pushing the buttons with coming here and getting the chance to play early and starting. They aren’t very deep at the linebacker position right now. It’s also not far from home, it’s only a 4- or 5-hour drive. It’s just a great fit for me, all around with academics.”
With Graham’s commitment, the Florida Gators have started the 2024 class on a high note as the 2024 linebacker is considered one of the best in his class.
