Sorey hired as personnel quality control

Billy Napier has hired Lamar Sorey in the role of personnel quality control.

In this position, he will assist the recruiting staff with player evaluations and recruiting.

The Campbellton, Florida, native worked for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021 as a scouting assistant.

Sorey worked as a student assistant at Middle Tennessee State from 2018-20 before earning his degree in sport management last year.

He served in the U.S. Army as a logistic specialist from 2015-18. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal in 2017 and the Army Commendation Medal in 2018.

Sorey is the first cousin of Champ Kelly, who is the assistant director of player personnel for the Chicago Bears.
