Kazakevicius joins Gators’ staff

Kyle Kazakevicius has joined Billy Napier’s staff as the assistant director of football operations for quality control and assistant to the head coach.

He worked for Napier for the last four years at Louisiana. He started off as a strength and conditioning intern in 2018. He was the director of player engagement in 2019, and he was promoted to director of recruiting and a running backs analyst for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

He helped the Ragin’ Cajuns sign the Sun Belt’s highest-ranked recruiting classes in 2020 and 2021.

Kazakevicius is an Ocala native who graduated from Trinity Catholic High School. He played wide receiver at Alabama from 2013-15, where he was part of a national championship-winning team in 2015.

Ethan was born in Gainesville and has lived in the Starke, Florida, area his entire life. He played basketball for five years and knew he wanted to be a sportswriter when he was in middle school. He’s attended countless Gators athletic events since his early childhood, with baseball being his favorite sport to attend. He’s a proud 2019 graduate of the University of Florida and a 2017 graduate of Santa Fe College. He interned with the University Athletic Association’s communications department for 1 ½ years as a student and also wrote for InsideTheGators.com for two years before joining Gator Country in 2021.
