The Gators moved up one spot to No. 17 in the latest edition of the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll following their 42-0 defeat of Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Meanwhile, they checked in at No. 20 in the Associated Press Poll for the second week in a row.
Florida jumped Arkansas and BYU in the Coaches Poll but was leapfrogged by Wake Forest.
In the AP Poll, UF moved past Auburn but dropped behind Arizona State.
As expected, Georgia is the new No. 1 team in both polls following their dominant win over Auburn and Alabama’s shocking upset loss to then-unranked Texas A&M. The Bulldogs received all 62 first-place votes in the AP Poll and 64 of 65 first-place votes in the Coaches Poll.
Alabama dropped to fifth in both polls, while Texas A&M entered the Coaches Poll at 18th and the AP Poll at No. 21.
The Gators (4-2, 2-2 SEC) will travel to Baton Rouge this Saturday to take on LSU (3-3, 1-2) at noon. After a bye week, they will then take on No. 1 Georgia in Jacksonville.
