Looks like he will be a Texas A&M commit or maybe even Tennessee but if you haven't watched this guy yet worth a look, very much like Marcus Allen. I like our chances at getting a Bowman/Smith combo which would also be something to recon with in the SEC

We already have Keyvone Lee for 2020 (top 100 kid, currently over 215#) and I doubt we take more than 2 RBs. Bowman is the priority, and Smith is Emmitts son (2020 RB).

Ah, I did not realize there might be some real mutual interest between EJ and our staff. Emmitt seems distant from UF and I don't know if his son really wants to play at UF(?). I could see him landing at one of the many Texas schools. We'll see. But yes, we forget about Keyvone because he's been quietly loyal without all the drama. Keyvone and Demarkus is a full RB class. It's possible to take three next cycle if we miss on MAR but would two pure top RBs plus EJ be too much?

By the way, it looks like Frank Gore's son is going to be available in the next cycle.

There is a lot of talent out there. If UF gets Lee and Bowman, be happy. Be very happy.

I would love to get Bowman and Smith. Glad that Lee is already in the bag but I'm not convinced that he's a better RB prospect than Smith, though he looks like a better athlete. If we could get all three, Lee would make a great OLB. He just doesn't look like an instinctive RB.

EJ has been interested in UF all along. There's a lot of talk about T A&M but it's not showing up as crystal balls, all of which say UF right now. His half sister plays soccer at A&M but they didn't grow up in the same household, so I wouldn't assume they are very close.

That’s quite the conundrum. How do you turn Smith’s kid away? I just can’t see that happening. Maybe we take 3 which isn’t optimal but could you imagine not giving him a spot. If he turned out to be half his dad, the responsible party could never get the egg off his face.

I’ve heard many coaches say they never forced a player to switch positions. Suggested they have a better chance to see the field more or improve draft stock yes. I don’t think you tell a top player( Henry) to switch positions.

You definitely dont turn him away. But how hard do you really recruit him?

Really? I could get on board if he was playing both sides of the line but what I saw seems to be a pure RB. Move to defense?

Looks like EJ is really All Purpose, catches passes, returns KOs and punts.

Lee is listed as an "Athlete" on 247. I've watched his clips and he does play some defense. EJ is an excellent receiver but I don't see him returning kicks or punts. He's at his best as a running back. Runs a lot like his dad, incredible vision, balance and he does that little sideways shuffle to the outside Emmitt used to do right before he hit the hole.

I don't know playing defense is really switching positions. His HUDL profile lists him as RB/DE. Neither 247 or Rivals list him as a running back. He is exciting to watch and has some big play potential but also has some no gain/TFL potential, dancing around, running east and west.

Would love to see Lee returning punts. I don't think I've ever seen a guy that big return kicks but his running style seems well suited for it. Bottom line, Bowman, Smith and Lee are all great prospects, higher rated than any we've had in recent years. The coaches can easily make room for all three and find a way for them to all be successful.

That’s such a bad look if we don’t put in at least a cursory effort to show that kid he’s wanted. He’s not just a legacy , he’s royalty

Bad look if we only give a cursory effort?

The coin has 2 sides. Does the kid want to be a Gator? If so, he will be a Gator.
