This was mine as well. Freshman though.

My now wife and I had seats on the 1st row at the 5-10 yard line (south end zone) right where Jacobs made that catch. Pretty cool way to start my Gator attendance.

I went to every home game that year except Miami. I couldn't get tickets to that one. Then for the next 5 years I went to almost every game, home and away. I have been to very few since college (3-4 away games and zero home games) as I have moved endlessly (and never in Florida) for 12 years.

I wish I could tell you all the details but I don’t remember. Of course I had no idea at the time that it would be the beginning of an amazing new Era of Gator Football. Sadly there were other things going on in Gainseville at the time. They closed the university the first week of class due to the murders.

I think that one wound up 49-0. Biggest margin of victory in that series. I think my first halfassu game was in 75. And yes we beat ugaly that year in the last minute 11-10.

I was at that one too. :( Only game I attended with my dad and son. What a bummer but at least the rest of the season turned out well.

1969 vs,Houston. I was a freshman at UF and it was the first college game I ever attended. We went 9-1-1 that year and I've been hooked ever since!

Gator Growl weekend 1988 (vs Auburn). Don't recall the game but vividly remember Jerry Seinfeld and Steven Wright killing the stand up sets they did. Most of the rest of that weekend is a blur.

Auburn 6 Gators 5 in 1958 is first I remember much about. Obviously a defensive struggle, and the most vivid detail I recall is the blood on Gators' linemen's pants. It was that kind of game.

Went to the game and growl too. That was one of the better growls. Actually thought Wright might have been funnier than Seinfeld. Of course Jerry was very young then. The game was awful. I think that was the last time we were shutout.

    1964. 11 years old.

Gators whipped Ole Miss, 30-14. SOS, sophomore, threw 2 TD passes to Charlie Casey.

Brother, UF student, took me. Sat in lower North End Zone - lots of Rebel fans near me with Confederate Flags.
    Lol.

    1961 halfassu game
    9 years old
crappy game that ended in a 3-3 tie.

A favorite game though was the 1963 Richmond game. I was there with 5 or 6 buddies from Ocala and we were sitting in the south end zone with no adult supervision (parents were in the west stands). Early in the 4th quarter we were up 35-7 and kind of bored so we decided to jump the southeast corner fence. Security in those days was not too strong and nobody stopped us as we walked up behind the Richmond bench. We couldn't see from there so we walked up to the sideline with their players and coaches. They never asked who we were or what we were doing there so we stayed and watched from their sideline. Richmond staged a huge 4th quarter comeback scoring three unanswered touchdowns to make the score 35-28. All during their rally we were talking to their players who weren't in the game and encouraging their guys as they came off the field. We were all Gator fans and wanted the Gators to win but it sure was fun to watch a huge underdog make a game of it, especially when we were on their sideline and being treated like we belonged there.

This was one of the first night games at Florida Field, I think. Since my first game was in the 40’s, I have now been going to Gator games here thru 8 decades. After next year it will be 9 decades and I hope like hell to make it 10 decades in 2030!

The Gators beat the favored Auburn Tigers 14-0. Florida picked off 4 passes, returning 1 for an 84 yard touchdown, and recovered 3 fumbles. Spurrier ran in the final score from 5 yards out. It was Ray Graves 5th season with the Gators. I was 12 years old.

    Think it was 49-0
    I was there
We put our center in at QB and he ran the last touchdown
Forgot his name. He went on to be a pro Coach in NFL
