Illegal procedures are commonplace in Miami.
Or helmet stickers.
Or sod graveyards.
Just give me some life size bronze Heisman statues any day.
I suspect they will have substitution issues, false starts and some shifts. Normal stuff to be in the phase their offense is in. Especially when they are twitchy anticipating a blitz. Momentum killers nonetheless. As I said In another post, their defense better bring oxy masks and bikes. Lol
All likely true, Kentucky, but, it was a play on words...
You can bet cramps will be an issue.
... especially if you eat the vendor food at the stadium.
Just look at the rosters. There is no reason we should lose this game. If you trust the coaching staff, you shouldn't be very worried. We out skill them at every position but LB. Every position. Their WR's are all around 6 foot tall. They are starting a tackle that was a 2 star and is a freshman. A new QB going against one of the most confusing defenses(Granthams) is going to be insanely rough on Williams. There really is no reason to lose this game. It may be close for the first half with Miami's front seven, but their depth is lacking as well in those spots past the starters. By the end of the game...UF should be comfortably ahead. We would have to lose this game by making insane mistakes. This isn't a Mac lead team. Mullen will not let that happen.
Memory is fading as I forgot which QB it was. I was remembering Maty Mauk (and said incorrectly Lock) who torched us for 300 yards in their 2013 36-17 win.
When you can run the ball for over 200 yards on 37 carries, that's going to open up the passing game. We hung with them for a half, but then our defense got exhausted because our offense wasn't helping (151 total offense for the game). After a superb first drive, Mauk ended the first half with 7 for 22 passing for 77 yards, 0 TD, and 1 pick. We're all thinking, just get some kind of offense going, and we've got this. Our first 11 drives of the game netted 60 yards on 37 plays. Defense can only hold up for so long.
That scenario played out a lot in the Muschamp era.
We did win the first half time of possession in that game!
I just read that Miami will start two frosh OTs.
That plus a frosh QB is a steep hill to climb. If I’m their OC I’m looking at quick dinks and dunks along w running plays.
Miami must be very creative on O.
If I’m Grantham I am looking at relentless pressure with the LBs.
I'm pretty sure it is their LT that is a TRUE freshman. Good luck with that. The other is a rfr.
Pressure their new QB early and often, put the fear of God into him and force him into mistakes. The wheels will start to come off by the half
Win the toss. Elect to kick. The rest is history.
Yeah, but he's put on about 80 lbs of good weight since he's been there and hasn't lost a step.
Will Grier is confused.
Or turnover garbage cans. Tops them all.
Elect to defer. If you elect to kick they get the ball in both halves
