Oklahoma playing these games in Oklahoma City is like throwing Christians to the lions in the Coliseum. Oklahoma is a great softballl team but I think their total dominance is bad for college softball.
If the pitching and batting that showed up today shows up, Saturday, it doesn't matter who we face. We were on fire today!!!
Zona with a 2 run HR to take a 2-1 lead in the zona half of the 5 th. I'm rooting for the cats, no home field adv for them.
I was hoping to play Arizona. The Oklahoma State pitcher seems like she's going to be tough to string a bunch of hits together with her strikeout ability. The best way to score on her is the long ball, which is our biggest weakness.
Great win!!!! Great pitching and defense and timely hits once again lead to a big win. Time to put some pressure on Oklahoma State on Saturday!!!
Idk if y’all are watching OU but they just showed Bahl warming up and started their love fest for her again. Says nobody else in the country compares to her..... that’s a stretch. Also, she never gets called for her but her foot doesn’t stay on the ground either, just like lemley at vt, but of course as I said won’t get called. You can clearly see it when they just showed her. And sorry.... but I am so tired of hearing about Bahl.
Just call this the ESPN/OU Invitational. OU will whip every team and there is nothing that is going to change it. There, maybe I said enough to jinx them. LOL. Oh, did I say that I'm tired of the blathering love fest.
Thank you. It has gotten so old. Worse than Bama football. Not saying they don’t earn it but at least Bama plays a tough schedule all the time to earn them being So much better both eye test and stat wise. OU is good but their numbers are so blown up because of their schedule. And this is what the 4th or 5th time OU has played Texas this year? They know their pitchers. They’ll be in the SEC soon and we’ll finally see how good they really are.
I think our softball program will be back to the level we're accustomed to seeing by then to prevent that from happening.
Oklahoma will continue to be great - They have great coaching, they get elite players, and of course they get the homefield advantage in the WCWS every year. But Jocelyn Alo is a generational talent that has elevated them from great to unbeatable the last few years.
