Unfortunately we will never totally get rid of racism, but I do have hopes it will continue to diminish. This woman's ignorance and hate is disgusting.

The "Pyramid of White Supremacy" is reportedly a tool used at Harvard to teach about white supremacy. Evidently Harvard thinks that "racial slurs" are worse than "black church bombings." Source: Jared Taylor post on X (below)

I don't think this mom with kids and her hardworking boyfriend should have their lives ruined because she uttered a bad word in response to a Somali kid (?) trying to steal her stuff (or so it appears).

The fact that so much money has been raised for Shiloh Hendrix is a good sign in that it indicates whites might be getting over their suicidal "white guilt."

A few weeks ago Karmelo Anthony (black) stabbed Austin Metcalf (white) in the heart because whitey wanted blackie to get out from under his tent. Blacks instinctively supported their race and Karmelo's family has raised a huge amount of money.

Which is worse, supporting a black kid killing a white kid by stabbing his heart or a white lady using a bad word when a black kid evidently was going through her stuff? Should we consult Harvard?

There is MORE THAN JUST FREE SPEECH happening at Harvard. And we all know that there are limits to what is legally protected free speech. That hate speech is not just a dirty, nasty insult.

The kid in Texas raised something like 500k after admitting he stabbed the other kid to death. Many of the comments were unapologetically racist against the white murder victim. If course there was no shortage of white people making blanket racist statements about blacks as well.

I dont think its surprising to see racists rear up and adopt some high profile highly visible event and use it to spew their garbage.

Thousands in a country of hundreds of millions is still a great minority. I'd rather people accept ignorance will always exist and see the extremes for what they are and not succumb to the perception its an epidemic.

Just my opinion. Not trying to "equate" anything.

Conditional speech is the opposite of free speech. Trump isn’t protecting anyone. He is punishing people he doesn’t like. There has to be a limit to the abuse you are willing to go along with.

What you call "ignorance" is probably settled science. For example, Asians outperform whites in every school district in America (12,000+) and they engage in significantly less violent crime. There are reasons for this. For example, Asians have larger brains than whites on average and lower testosterone levels.

Has nothing to do with racism or the particular topic. Calling a kid or anyone the N word or supporting a murder suspect solely based on race isn't scientific

Weak attempt at deflection. Barnes is as responsible as anyone for the rise of populism and the Republican outreach to blacks and Hispanics. Barnes has close relatives who are Hispanics btw

Assuming that's true, would that justify Asian people using racial slurs against White people? Also, given that men have more testosterone than women and commit more violent crime than women, does that warrant women using sexist language about boys and men to demean them?

Yes and yes. I value free speech. Also, white men did most of what created the modern world so how would disparaging comments bother me? All races are best at some things and not so good at other things.

I'm not suggesting that racist or sexist slurs/remarks should be criminalized, but while such things may not bother you personally, both men and White folks often take offense when they feel their proverbial ox is getting gored.

I feel like if someone is having an argument with another individual, it's notable when they choose to demean the other person based on their race or sex, as opposed to addressing them as an individual. Perhaps sometimes people simply blurt out the most incendiary thing that comes to mind when they're angry, but I suspect there's usually an underlying bigotry or resentment at work if that's where their mind goes. To be clear, I've seen this done by all groups and directed at all groups.

If this story had involved a Black woman berating a White boy and using slurs or racially-charged language, I think many peoples' reactions would be completely different, and I don't think that's a good thing.

    Right here
Free speech suggests one need no justification to hurl slurs, so any imbalance in mental abilities would be irrelevant.

Jefferson actually suspected black people might be mentally inferior, but even if so. he made clear that this fact should in no way diminish their rights.

“Whatever be their degree of talent it is no measure of their rights. Because Sir Isaac Newton was superior to others in understanding, he was not therefore lord of the person or property of others.”
