no real surprise.
Kabengele also which is huge. FSU will take a big step backwards from the last two years....
BTW who is Williams?
Grant "Mr. Flop" Williams
Some how I missed the Williams news. Thanks
Is Harper the point guard from Auburn?
I find Harper surprising. Only because I didn't see him on any pre-draft ranking lists. Maybe he'll get a boost from tourney but I bet he measures at 5'10.
Wow FSU loses 6 of top 8 scorers.
I pray Grant Williams stays in. I can’t take another year watching him get away with everything.
Going to be interesting to see FSU next year. Going to rely on freshmen to really contribute and they haven't had to the last few years under Hamilton.
Yeah, but they've signed two more 7-footers.
Yeah… But the flipside is that he’ll be the same height next year, and probably wouldn’t be on any draft boards then either. I’m guessing he wants to capitalize as much as possible on this season
I agree with all of these decisions and think Williams should stay in. Harper has essentially started since he set foot on campus. Time to get some money probably from Europe.
FSU going to be really interesting next year. Big fall off for the 1st time in several years. Still should not be bad.
In other news, man has landed on the moon.
One of them is Balsa from FSU. He will not be a threat early next season. He needs time to develop as much as Payne.
I think that we have had this discussion before, but Balsa is way more advanced than is Payne. My guess is that he would start at UF over our current group of big men.
Long term and maybe short term Payne is a better fit for UF. Balsa probably should be the higher ranked prospect now but two years from now not sure. Balsa will have to get a lot tougher to play at FSU.
Unless they strike grad transfer gold I think they will stink. Mediocre/bubble team at best. They will have to adjust their recent style of throwing waves of players on the court. I know they've gone 12-14 deep at times in recent seasons, which I find so overrated and gimmicky. What exactly are you getting from players 12-14 on your roster anyway? But I digress.....
I tend to disagree with you based on the fact that Balsa has held his own against a lot of teams that are the equivalent of college teams and a lot of big men that are the equivalent of college big men. I am guessing that he is college ready. As for Payne, hopefully he will be at least as good as Hayes was when he started out with the chance of improving to the level that Hayes ended up at or better.
LSU's whole team is declaring for the draft. Reid, Waters, Mays, E. Williams, Smart
Emmett Williams is a shock to me. He obviously knows the money is going to or has already run out so he is going while he still has a chance. My guess he ends up transferring or hopes to find a G-League spot.
