Will Mullen leave the cupboard the barest of all the M coaches?

Of the recent M coaches, I think Mullen's recruiting ranks at the bottom and I think the cupboard is barer than previous coaching transitions.

Why, and no offense, are we so sure he gets fired? I would bet he’s here in ‘22

Nah, we have some good talent, just not as much as we should have.

Don't watch the other boards... Dan Mullen and the Gators' football program in it's entirety is getting buried with hate... laughter and disgust.

If I'm Dan Mullen I would showcase AR as much as possible to entice some big recruits. Dan appears to have checked out earlier in the season and wants his $12 million.

There are a lot of great 3 star players. But to find them you need effort, research, and a competent back office. We could land a 3 star class that's very competitive... BUT, mullen has shown he has a terrible eye for talent and there's no reason to believe his staff is much better.

Our next coach will have to use the portal to fill holes. This cycle and our last OL class are going to be very modest, at best.

The short answer, as you have seen, is YES, mullen will leave us worse off than when he arrived.

After a portal exodus? Yes and it won't even be close.

On paper, no. Blue chip ratio >50% and 7th talent composite, who knows what it is next year after departures and this class. But those measures are technically better than Mac did. But it seems like Mac had a lot more guys that were just way underrated in HS. Scouting was pretty good apparently.

Muschamp left a great defense but offense took time to fix.

Meyer left the best overall roster but so many were just “me” guys that either were booted, transferred, or never performed. Famously was the worst culture of all of them.

Why? EJ plays and AR sits.

He’s the perfect Mullen QB. But he might not be a perfect fit for any coach. With Mullen seemingly set to stick to EJ and not even being long for the job anyways, AR might have to make the prudent move and transfer. It would be a 100% rational move for him to transfer, given the circumstance it is actually hard to see the logic for him to stay at UF.

The only rational option would be if UF brought in a coach with a similar offensive style to Mullen, and EJ transfers because Mullen is gone, making him the clear starter in a system that still suits him. Otherwise he’s wasting his time.

What do you mean. I said YES, it's going to be at least somewhat bare and it may already be less than what mullen inherited.

Our last OL class was unfortunately poor and this year's will be worse. It's unclear if we have depth going forwards at DL, and we do not know if we will see some good players transfer.

It's going to take two full cycles of great marksmanship and a season after that before we start to see depth and real talent. The bad news? fsu's staff is ahead of our next coach by virtue of their gains this cycle.
