I know this is a bit pre-mature, but for all intense purposes this season is pretty much done. I like Blackshear who gives his all, but I just don't see him going to the NBA. I think he has more of a chance playing overseas. He is not to blame for this years debacle but he is lacking. He has issues scoring in the paint, definite issues on defense, inconsistent shooting the 3, and doesn't jump very high for a big man. All in all not very athletic.

I feel bad for him for it doesn't appear he upped his game and there doesn't seem to be much development. I don't know if playing elsewhere would have helped. Having said that, I wish him the best and hope his dreams come true.

No, but I think that’s why he came back to college ball in the 1st place. Wasn’t likely to be drafted.

But yeah, feel bad for him. He obviously didn’t come to play in the NIT.

There is no chance Blackshear gets drafted. He'll get to go to the summer league and work for a spot but there is no chance a team would use a pick on him.

No I would be surprised. I think we have had better than him that didn't make the NBA. I hope I am wrong for him but I don't see it.

I can’t even think of any of these players making the league right now. Has any one showed they belong in the best league in the world? They can’t even consistently excel at this level

He could make a good living playing overseas but he doesn’t have the foot speed to play even adequate defense in the NBA. He is really a liability on defense in college as well.

He's really struggled the last 2 games, forcing plays for turnovers or bad shots and at the foul line. He doesn't shoot it well enough to be a stretch 4. He'll have to play overseas.

Make money? sure he can. In the NBA? not a chance. And yet, we are WAY ahead of what our record would be if he had not signed to play this year.

I felt like Mike got another year to prove himself by signing Kerry. Otherwise it would have looked like he was "staying the course" with Gak and Bassett and a project big in Payne. If Kerry had gone oversees Mike's seat would be DAMN HOT right now.

There is a reason he is not at Kentucky or Tennessee. He would have to come off the bench for his minutes.
That is why he is with us . Plus location. Plays under the rim . Not strong and not one part of his game translates to NBA standards.
I’ve not come away watching a game from him thinking wow this guy will be an AllSEC player much less POY.
I do think he is great to have on our squad because he helps in some areas

I'm just here for the "intense purposes" as those are my favorite.

I think many (including Shaq and Charles) think they don't play D in the NBA. Quite untrue. It's just that shooters now are SO MUCH better than ever - great offense beats good defense. Players now can shoot the damn lights out, from literally anywhere. Look at how many deep 3s (Lillard, James, Doncic, etc) are made with consistency now, shots that no one would have dared try even 10 years ago. Now they need to be defended like jump shots used to be, so spacing is becoming a real issue for defenses - especially for players that aren't quick enough to cover that enormous space.

That's true, though some think it's hot now because we have Blackshear and haven't done much with him. Think he'd have more of a free pass this year without Blackshear; but as it is we all think the team should be performing much better than we have. MUCH better.

White has never had a player drafted and that trend will continue for a while...feel really bad for Scottie and Tre and they should transfer or leave as soon as the season ends...it will only get worse for them unless White and his incompetent staff are gone

Ok, first of all it's "all intents and purposes."
Secondly, this season is far from over.
I may not have much confidence in Mike White, but I do have some.
Thirdly, KBJ will either go to the D league or go overseas to make his money.
