Hmm “average route runner & average speed”..
    - Widemans stats this year:
    58 catches
    871 yards
    11 total TDs
    By game ( good teams):
VS. IMG- 9 rec 128 yards 1 TD
VS. TCA- 6 rec 69 yards 1 TD
    VS. Riverview 8 rec 68 1 TD
VS. Cocoa- 4 rec 94 yards 2 TDs
VS. Manatee 5 rec 67 yards 1 TD
VS. PB lakes 3 rec 61 yards 1 TD
& Manatee again had 3 TDs..
Nothing about those stat lines screams “average” anything. Personally, I’m being unbiased and giving praise to an FSU commit, maybe you should do the same. The kid can play & it is obvious.

He should do well with Willie. Kids play hard for Willie and he gets the most out of them.

    Oh, wait...

I agree with your take. He’s usually been a real standout in football and basketball.

for anyone that wonders about him....
9 catches for 128 against IMG pretty nice night.

Never thought I’d see the day that FSU’s second highest rated recruit isn’t good enough to get an offer at UF. Good stuff.

So you haven't actually seen him play, that's what that normally means when someone goes to the stats as a basis foundation for debate. All I'm saying is for me in as someone that as actually seen him play the last 2 years, I don't see enough (in as far as someone that has seen lots of D-1 WR talent at the HS level). to desire or want for the gator staff to offer this kid

Probably good thing for the young man that you’re not on staff.

let me say again......I have seen him play.

saw him play against IMG when he went 9-128. Dude was a beast all night long.

seen him 2x this year. Seen him play basketball 8-10 times.

I said all this in previous posts.

Miami and FSU have maybe two or 3 between them that we would take. Amazing how bad they are.

I’ve seen him play and I think he is Hammond, Swain, Cleveland, etc. He may not have the upside of Grimes or Copeland or the polish of Jefferson but I think he can play. I have seen him twice against the highest competition the last two years.
I may be wrong, but I think he is good. Florida just may have better lined up, who knows.

I don’t disagree. Bigger version of Hammond/Swain right now (that’s the key). You make a good point about polish as basketball had been his major focus and for sure what he has been known for up until 14-15 months ago.

the difference between Wideman and a Swain or a Hammond is size and athleticism.

cannot teach his size and athleticism. His athleticism is off the charts. I think basketball has helped him a great deal. He is big and can really jump. IMG had big problems with him and their secondary is top 5 in country.
