Donovan was/is an amazing coach. I never said he wasn't. My response was towards a poster suggesting he had accomplished more than Calipari. I'm not seeing that by most metrics.

UK fans are definitely not okay with other teams surpassing UK in the SEC. No question about that.

Getting free agents is a form of recruiting.

It is just that the money is public record.

Cal generally puts a competitive product out on the floor every year- a team that is loaded with talent, and will, if they gel as a team, contend for an SEC title and tournament title and NCAA deep run every year. Is that too much to ask for from a coach who gets to bring recruits on a championship wooden floor as part of his pitch?

I think all coaches should not get paid until their season is complete and be compensated on their achievements. Yes I’m bitter about our BS coach making millions every year.

You can do exactly that. You just have to take who will agree with this arrangement. BTW, the salaries are WAY out-of-whack. But they DO reflect what we are prepared to spend to get our sports fix.

I root for all SEC teams in the big dance because it hurts our conference whenever an SEC team loses. Why would an SEC fan root for a non conference opponent?

In this tournament, I rooted for all 6 SEC teams, except LSU and Kentucky. I rooted against LSU because of the cheating scandal. I root against Kentucky because of UK's huge blueblood advantages in recruiting and preferential coverage by all the major networks.

Whoever has done the recruiting for us needs to be fired and if only the networks could fix our offense or perhaps maybe even an inbound play, or a play to win at the end of the game! If only…
