Get him to the Greek... err... The Swamp!
Lived there a while also, and totally agree.
Maybe mama can convince Orion to go to UF. It's closer.
And that is a problem that awesome kids are going to other schools and kids who wanna go to UF with 4.0s are not accepted! People think this makes Florida a better school but that is bullchit. So UCF , USF , FSU , Bama , Auburn are getting kids that should be coming here .
Yep. My daughter went to UCF. She's doing really well with her nursing degree from UCF.
Challenging..UGA and Bama are the "It" schools for high schoolers...CBN has a longs way to go.
Tell him to give up sports and save his lower back and knees.
Yep, they may want to give more weight to locals and alumni
These days, they'd pass my application around the office for laughs.
Yeah he does sadly. Thanks mullen.
Still amazing how we went toe to toe with Bama and then it all fell apart! DM completely lost interest in the job when didnt defeat Bama in the SECCG and didnt get any real NFL offers...he just checked out and didnt care.
He didn't care In the 2020 lsu game either
Update: He doesn't coach here anymore.
Duh..was responding to someone's post.
Why should alumni’s kids get “preference?” Some first generation college kid from a poor background should be disadvantaged relative to the child of college grads? I’m an alum and hell no.
UCF and FSU will get great kids who couldn’t get into UF, for the same reason that UF has become so competitive - our state has a huge population. Further, if we wish to compete globally then we have to interact globally. This must include students from all over the world, especially for the best university in the state. Tough competition will make our kids/state better.
Things that “stay the same” are really falling behind and dying.
What state did he grow up in? What are his parents college affiliations? Those can be difficult to win against if he has some natural connection to one of those schools.
With my 24/7 364 Gator hyping I can't imagine that my little guy wouldn't want to go to UF if it was feasible. But if circumstances led him somewhere else (even uga) I'd love him and support his decision. Just as I'm sure you plan to. Family is way more important than a college allegiance.
He was raised in Florida and his parents aren't affiliated with any university.
