You forgot about the part where they need to clothe and feed them, and then transport them, assuming they can all be found so easily as Trump has said (or even if they exist at the numbers he claimed). And finally, you omitted they’ll need to find a place that will accept them.

The graph says it all, about everything, not just their views of the economy. They fabricate their reality to be what they want it to be. That's why misinformation is so effective on them.

Exactly what I was talking about with misinformation being so effective on these people. He thinks government has been the biggest source of new jobs because that's what he wants to think. It fits his agenda so that's what it is.

Not shocked you don't know the main driving force behind health...

Not a single economic or labor force expert is going to be excited about the labor force if most of the job growth is in heavily government subsidized health.
When most of your job growth the last 12 months has been Health or government, it means something else is wrong with all the other sectors.
October would have been a negative print if not for the government and health. Unless you think we can be an economy of just government and healthcare workers?

    Full-Time Jobs USA
    Oct 2024: 133.4M
    Nov 2023: 134.7M
    1.3M less full-time jobs.

You try to chime in on topics you have little understanding of but try to sound like an expert, haha.

He's got a concept of a plan on doing this not doing this, because it was just conning dumb voters, just like his first term immigration plans lies.

So after I burn you with facts you want to throw out all the growing industries? Great. Government spending in healthcare (33%) is lower than Government spending to GPD (36%). That means the government is a lower part of healthcare than total economy. Another burn.

You once again fail to understand anything.

The government is paying for nearly 50% of all healthcare expenses and that number is growing quicky.

Healthcare Spending Will be One-Fifth of the Economy within a Decade.

You also completely ignored the fact that our economy cannot survive if it's mostly government and health that add most of the jobs.

Total healthcare is about 17% of our GDP in 2023 of which our government (federal and state/local) is 48% of that or 2.3 trillion. No other industry is supported by the government like that. Ohh and it's not even remotely close.

I think most people would agree we don’t want govt jobs leading the way. Nor healthcare. Govt jobs should just sort of be proportional to the rest of the economy in a stable environment.

But it isn’t as simple as saying “I don’t like those govt jobs, let’s get rid of them”, and the health jobs are the perfect example of that. The bar is based on aging boomers and their demand for health services, which tends to increase regardless of the rest of the economy. We could have a massive recession and the demand for those services would still be the same. The inclination might be to correct that imbalance, make them suffer with everyone else! But slashing those jobs doesn’t inherently make the other categories go up. The lost economic activity might just make the other bars tilt negative, nevermind that health care would then go unfulfilled.

The U.S. spends the most on healthcare as a % of GDP by quite a margin. That is true. It’s also been ticking higher.

You seem to attribute that to the idea the govt is involved in healthcare. Yet, basically the rest of the world’s developed countries even with full commie nationalized healthcare do it for ~10% of GDP. You have to ignore that fact. Many of them have their own issues with wait times and hemming and hawing over budgets, certainly “fully nationalized” systems wouldn’t sell here. Yet as a share of GDP the U.S. is the outlier despite actually having the least govt involved healthcare. I think the failing of the U.S. approach is that we do the heavy subsidies but then basically just let certain actors loot the system. Publicize the risk, privatize the profits, then can’t even nail the criminals on the back end. How many righties on here voted for Rick Scott Medicare fraudster? There’s your problem.

You missed the point of this topic. We are talking about the fact that the majority of jobs added to the us economy has been health and government and that is not a sign of a strong robust labor force.
October would have been a negative print otherwise.

Simply pointing out that was most of our job gains the last 12 months and that our labor force is not as strong as some want to make it appear.

continuing weekly claims has been trending up for a while now. It’s an indication that once someone loses work, it’s getting hard to find work.

Can government and healthcare save every month from a negative print?

Sigh. Well the strangulation of interest rates were designed to slow jobs. That was the whole point. For comparison under Trump (pre-pandemic). We added 2.2M jobs a year vs Obama's 2.7M jobs a year over his last 3 years. Well after the Covid recover benefit of 2021-2022 in 2023 Biden added 3M more jobs - 2024 we will see where it ends but its trending to 2M. Under Trump 41% of jobs added the first 3 years were low paying hospitality jobs and we lost 400k+ manufacturing. The job situation under Trump is remembered fondly by right wingers but comparatively it was no nirvana.

Inflation is down from everything doubling in price over the last 3 years. Problem is things are not going back down for the most part they just are going up at a slower pace.

I retired after finishing my career with the last 8.5 years in municipal govt. From that example and years of paying at least some attention to the news I am convinced that govt is excellent at wasting money, including but certainly not limited to employing people that are not efficient in their jobs. I recall a stink several years ago about fed employees spending practically entire work days on porn sites. (That made me extremely careful about how I used my govt computer.) I have seen fed regulatory staff stretch out permitting by writing a series of letters instead of making one effective phone call to address a question. I have watched municipal staff continue conversations about frivolous social media stuff while their phones rang unanswered. I’ve seen govt leaders go out of their way to pursue and administer grants that had very little public benefit but ensured higher profits for private developers. Wasted time, wasted money. It’s a damn shame that so many of our govt folks aren’t better at meeting their actual obligations to taxpayers. This just scratches the surface. Lots of typing to say that there are too many govt employees. Health care jobs are different since they are mostly driven by profit now and are set up to squeeze as much as possible out of insurance and govt coffers, and they are efficient at that if nothing else. Rant over. Back to your regularly scheduled thread.

It seems many folks on the street are having a different experience. This is their reality and they apparently voted from their own personal experience.

You may not like that but who are you to tell those folks they are imagining things?

Time to hug your cactus. Your party and your candidate were roundly rejected.

Seems your solution is to enjoy the election result. How does that help? Hope you have more answers than that.
