I love this Weird Al parody: And that is Alan Ginsberg in the background just like the original Dylan video.
XM RADIO/Classic Vinyl-Ch 26 I just heard this song and thought dang—that belongs at the ballpark! “Gimme Some Lovin’ — Spencer Davis Group Great song gang-sorry my computer skills are older than I am—never got the copy and paste thing from one site to another down-usual attempts just leave me in the basic word group….
Not many songs with a 5.4 intro. Supremes Keep me Hanging On is one. And everything from Dave Brubeck Take Five
Growing up in Fairlawn Estates in the 60's.....it was your typical "Leave it to Beaver' subdivision. We lived in the same house 15 years - moving there when I was only a year old. So the kids in the neighborhood were like family. We all knew each other. Rode our bikes after school, played kickball in the court, built forts and played army, and of course went to school together. After my father passed away, the family across the street two doors down took me and my brother on surf trips to the Steel Pier, Sand Bridge, or Damn Neck - all local surf spots. We had long boards and were beginners. Their last name was Hope. The father used to sing gospel songs while working in his garden in the backyard. Five kids, including 4 sons in our age range, so they came along with their surfboards too on those trips. They had this huge Plymouth wagon and the boards would all be stacked up on the roof. One of the sons was named Finn. I think he was the 3rd down in age. Man - we were lucky to have such great times growing up. It's what all kids should have.....
