Except he’s right, there is post birth abortion going on. In fact there are post birth abortions going on in every Florida town. They’re called schools where the abortionist can walk right in with their AR15 post abortion tool and start aborting.

This is the new Republican party.

Until they decide to expel the diseased portions, they will continue to see their base erode. When you start to see the moderates leave then you know there are big issues. I think winning the house gave them a false sense of security. The house win was only because of ILLEGAL gerrymandering. You hear people boast of Desantis' win as some kind of mandate for all his behavior.

It's not. In fact, his approval rate is at its LOWEST since Gov. He went so far to the right, it is going to cost votes in the future.

without these and other illegal districts, dems owuld control the house right now. still don't understand why judges allowed these district maps to stand for the elections

Florida judge strikes down DeSantis-drawn congressional map as unconstitutional (msn.com)

Astate judge on Saturday rejected congressional district boundaries affecting communities across North Florida, saying they unconstitutionally restrict Black voting power and that Florida’s Legislature must redraw them.

“By dismantling a congressional district that enabled Black voters to elect their candidates of choice under the previous plan, the enacted plan violates … the Florida Constitution,” Circuit Judge J. Lee Marsh in Tallahassee ruled.

In the 55-page ruling, he also noted that throughout history "Florida has been a state home to discrimination in voting."

Marsh barred state officials from holding elections that use the current boundaries developed to replace the former Congressional District 5, whose seat was held by former U.S. Rep. Al Lawson.

Weighing a lawsuit brought by groups including Black Voters Matter and the League of Women Voters of Florida, the judge said state lawmakers must develop a “remedial map” to comply with the state's constitution, and he retained control over the case to judge whether the new boundaries pass legal muster.

Republican SCOTUS is part of the reason why (for Florida and more broadly). DeSantis SCOFL is the other part of the reason why (at least for Florida).

That same donor got a major payback in the form of a new interstate exit to provide access to a big piece of property he owns. Straight up pay to play bribery that is likely the best investment he ever made. How can we get this type of corruption be prosecuted?

DeSantis embraces discord and division. If it weren’t for him we’d all be singing kum-ba-yah by the fire.

    This is nuts:
Pasco residents object to Bible-based textbook by money guru Dave Ramsey

    Example from the article:
This sort of crap has no business in our schools, particularly in a personal finance class. I'm not even talking about the scripture. This is idiotic advice. It will harm students who listen to it. They need to build credit. And credit cards that give you cash back on purchases are a great thing as long as you pay off your balance each month.

Taking out loans can also be savvy. I took out a car loan despite having the cash to purchase it because the interest rate for the loan was significantly lower than the returns I have consistently made in the stock market. Obviously, a student loan can be beneficial if it allows you to get an education that will lead to a good career. And as long as you get a reasonable (fixed) interest rate, you should absolutely make use of a mortgage when purchasing a home.

Next up, Health Education “textbooks” by Dr. Oz.

At least Oz is actually a doctor. It’s not apparent what makes this guy a “finance guru”, other than his ability to convince people (rubes) that he is. But either way a textbook should not do prolestyzing like this. That isn’t educating anyone, and in this case isn’t even particularly good advice.
