Ugh. He had his chance to hire an OC but he thinks he’s a genius. He has his good traits, but it’s time. I think the players are frustrated too. This team is too talented to be subject to ineptitude. Let him go. He’s set for life just like every other stubborn bonehead we’ve hired over the years. I don’t have much confidence in Stricklen to make a competent hire. All he can do is keep throwing money at this failed coach.

 

Geez Kiffen would be better. We shouldn’t have let Ole Miss have him. His arrogance be damned. At this point I’d rather an arrogant butthead that wins over one that loses. 21-23 is not ok.

BN's chance to hire an OC and fix the offense was last year (and the year before). BN has proven he is arrogant and lacks any mental flexibility. Also, we have no assistant on staff suitable to take over - what does that say about his staff? As to "the roster" - several coaches have been fired this season and there was no mass exodus. Teams aren't picking up NIL mid-season and players want the rest of their NIL contract for this season. The NIL turnover will happen at the end of this year for all teams.

As for recruiting - what brings players to a team? NIL - sure. You think alumni are eager to fund a top 10 NIL roster as they did this year for a team that loses to USF? BN is killing that gravy train. Also, all things being equal, players want to play for winning teams (more exposure and fun). Think BN is going to keep "recruiting in place" with another losing season, fans screaming, and donors pulling back on funds?

Nah, man. To maximize roster/recruiting we need to win, and BN has proven he can't do that.

 

It is clear that Napier is not the man to take UF football where it wants to go. Not an IF but a when.

That is what we do! How many more nationally televised games do we half to get embarrassed by ridiculous coaching. Bad for the Brand and tells all opponents/rivals the play calls and don’t worry about the last two minutes of either half, Billy will just take his time and run it being behind and take time outs on defense to help the other team.

Without reading them, I’m guessing this is just a paraphrase of about every other response to this post so far:

That ship sailed at least 12 months ago. I don’t want a head coach who takes this long to realize what the right course of action is … and even then has to be forced to take it.

 

Was this post bumped from last year? Sounds almost identical to what we heard after Georgia last year.
