Mark Halperin with some interesting insight on what Pelosi and Obama wanted to happen after Biden decided to drop out.
"....but Biden stuck it to the establishment who threw him out by endorsing Kamala 30 minutes after dropping out." Way to go Joe.
Coming from the Pod Bros, so this is what Obama world is saying. Remember there is a lot of hate between Biden's staffers and Obama staffers.
The question I have is does anyone believe the MSM is a reliable source of truth anymore? It seems pretty obvious they were parroting what they thought was the most advantageous narrative for the DNC the entire time. The entire operation of what the MSM does was exposed in the Presidential debate between Trump and Biden. And everything spiraled out of control from there because the propagandists were exposed for the frauds they really are.
So... the people who thought this election could be won by smoke and mirrors are telling us if we had more smoke and mirrors, we would have won. Give me a break. The arrogance is palpable. As time goes on, it is becoming more clear Obama is not as savvy a politician as he has been painted in the past. One cannot discount that when Obama burst on the scene, America was in the throes of the great recession. Such a calamity had not occurred since the end of the great depression. History has shown it is much easier for people to get swept up by a charismatic figure during distressful times. Obama had much more charisma than Hillary and McCain. Once we were out of the great recession, Obama struggled to overcome Romney, who himself was not an overly appealing personality. In the end, all of them were lying to themselves. Biden could not have won under any circumstance. Kamala could not have won under any circumstance. Those were their only two options once they decided to push Biden in late 2023. An endorsement or lack thereof wouldn't have changed anything. But what did change was Biden's receptiveness to Obama and Kamala. It ended with Jill Biden wearing red to vote and Biden looking ten times happier than he has looked in a long time on Wednesday. Which reveals how vindictive Biden is and yet, who can blame him? What Obama and Kamala did to him was wrong. The time to remove Biden would have been mid-to-late 2023. Not July of 2024.
I’m not sure it changes much, but I’m glad Pelosi spoke up. Biden seemed surprisingly stubborn and lacking in self-awareness. Decades in politics can do that—which is way too long. I doubt acting a month earlier would have made a difference; that decision needed to happen eight months before. Where was Jill in all of that? Couldn’t she have helped him decide to step back?
In 1st gov race Desantis won vs Gillium. When Gillium won the dem primary, he barely beat out Gwen Graham, a moderate. the dem race included multiple candidates & Gillium won with only 34% of the vote. He then barely lost to RD in the general but Graham was expected win if she was selected. (and yes we know what happened to Gilliam after that). Point is, Dems have a knack of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Have you ever tried to permanently take away an elderly family members car keys? Had a family member get in basically a fender bender every week and still refused to admit they were too old to drive.
So, at the very same time the DNC elite were attempting to talk a dementia suffering potus out of running for reelection…… they were saying he was “fine” and ready to serve another 4-year term.
I think if you had a primary and ended up with a different candidate like Shapiro, it might have. That candidate would have been able to criticize the Biden Admin and create separation from them. Being to run as the real change candidate would have been extremely helpful.
But I thought the Biden years were the bomb, I mean for many they saw no need to change things up, just continue the course. These same people seemed to want the samo samo with Biden until it became clear he had dementia. What Dem potential prospects wanted anything different from Biden? These same people were all in for Harris.
and that will be his legacy, letting his ego give us djt II Harris could have refused it and demanded an open primary and earned it. she didn't
OT- thought it was hilarious that a political consultant pod caster like him was the first person thrown off survivor this season
it wasn't just Joe, it is his whole damn family all the way down to his granddaughter that convinced him to run the first time (according to him), got married at, and moved into the WH. The whole Biden posse and staff was too high on the power and prestige to do the right thing
what about all of those who value honesty, integrity, intelligence, empathy, respect for others, etc..do you care about any of them things
for what he was given to work with the Biden years were great. Biden didn't create the inflation anymore than djt created coved
