What If Napier Somehow Manages To Put Together A Top 5 Class?

Wont be a top 5 class with anything less than 8+ wins.

But say he eeks out a 7-6 season and we close with a top 8ish class….he may still be around. I think they, SS that is, wants to find anyyyyyy reason to retain him

 

Billy can recruit, runs a clean and structured program, but the guy is a lousy coach and the body of work clearly shows that.

 

That ship for a top 5 class sailed a long time ago. We were out of the running for that before we played a game this year. This was going to be a depth year, not a playmaker stacking year.

UF getting a Top 5 recruiting class this year with Napier as head coach has about as much chance as you or me getting 6 numbers correct and winning the Powerball lottery. You know this, right?

 

We have a better chance of hiring Urban Meyer as our special teams coach or Saban as our DC, than Napier getting a top 5 class.

I have a better chance at winning the Powerball than any of that happening.

 

He won’t make it till the end of the season. Despite what has been said I believe SS is done with him.

 

I don’t follow recruiting that much, so forgive me for this question. Has he ever signed a top 5 recruiting class? I know we’ve been in the top 10 range.

 

No but there was a slim chance if he were have won 9+ games which is absurb to even think of looking back. Im not sure we are going to pay top five cash either way.

 

nope, not straight out of HS he hasn’t no matter if we’re using Rivals, 247, ON3, or ESPN. We were close to that during the 2023 season but once we went on the losing streak to end the season, our class got raided. Oddly though, the ones that flipped during that streak/before ESD haven’t done much of anything in college so far (not that we got much to parade about)

He could sign the #1 class. He still doesn't know how to use his personnel. We would continue to see Hansen and Livingston get featured in 12 personnel so ......

 

If he signs 5 5* transfer OL, he should still be fired, but at least the next coach will have a shot.

 

What if he promises to hire a really good OC?

 

We can buy a top 5 class for the next coach who will know how to use them.
