It is scheduled to debut on Aug 22nd and it's still TBA on Direct.

    Additionally,..........

Which cable companies do NOT currently have deals to carry the ACC Network?

Comcast, Dish Network, Charter (which uses the brand name Spectrum) and AT&T U-Verse are the major cable providers without deals to carry the ACC Network. Streaming service Sling TV does not either.

So 9 days from their big opening night and all the carriers listed above are still negotiating with The ACC or ESPN or somebody. And Direct still hasn't announced the channel they'll be on.

We're lucky in that we have a backup "local" CBS affiliate that we get on directv, but it's not in HD. Not a big problem now, but will be when football starts. We're planning on dropping directv when we move in January. This will hasten it a little if they don't fix the Nexstar deal

I'd be surprised if DirecTV's agreement with the ACC Network is for national carriage. So far most of what they seem to have seems to be more digital content. My guess is the ACC Network may be a subscription channel or part of sports package on DirecTV.

I find it difficult to imagine that DirecTV would pay national carriage for another regional sports network.

My ESPNU channel has not been lit up like the other channels. I still get it, though. I was wondering if it may be getting changed to the ACC network.

Then again, it would make more sense to make the ACC network in the 600s, like the SEC / BTN and ESPN classic.

I live in Kentucky and use SlingTV with the sports add-on. ESPNU carries most of my Florida games with a couple landing on air, which I have an HD antenna for.

ESPN is carrying the game so I’ll be watching it on Sling.

Millions of sports fans might not be able to get the ACC Network when it launches next month.

The Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN have partnered to create the TV network to broadcast and promote conference sporting events. But only a few carriers have signed on.

Comcast, Dish Network, and Charter are among the carriers who have not yet signed on. The ACC Network launches August 22.

Yep, those are both local channels. All you need is an antenna.

Antennas are the same as they’ve always been. If you have an old one mounted in the attic, it will still work. Tuners changed, but antennas didn’t, other than technology in general has gotten better.

This may become an issue for the Gator fans if Gator teams visit FSU and the game/event is shown only on ACCN

Do you honestly see a situation where the ACCN would have exclusive control over the distribution of a Gator game over CBS/ABC/ESPN?
