Aren't we still in the running for that center IMG who played with Payne?
Who are we even recruiting? It's ridiculous how we don't even have any clue. I haven't heard anything about us even contacting notable unsigned bigs. I realize those guys are longshots, but at least offer them ffs. This "we have a plan" is so vague for fans who want to get excited about something.
I believe that Verbal Commits shows 2 Gator offers to big men.
I think you are talking about Previous Achuiwa. He is a 6'-9" PF at Montverde and a Top 10 player in the country. That's just a dream of mine I keep hoping something comes of it. Unfortunately I have yet to hear any connection we have with him. He would drastically change our outlook for next year if we could get him.
To add Precious Achuiwa would start here day one at PF if he came. That's the great thing about it. We have the perfect open opportunity if he was interested. I think he would fit very well with the players ready for next year and what CMW would run. I won't go as far as a Top 10 team with him but Top 20 would be very attainable for a team set with Nembhard/Mann, Locke, Lewis, Achuiwa, Payne as starters and Ballard, Johnson, Bassett as backups.
Precious is from the Bronx and at this time it appears he is headed to Connecticut.
Here are some useful links of the top centers & power forwards available.

Omar Payne, Florida's incoming center, is ranked #10 here. Currently, Florida's 2019 recruiting class is ranked #8. 2019 Basketball Class Rankings
Payne's teammate center from Monteverde, 7 ft center Koprivica and ranked #9, was scooped up by FSU's Hamilton who likes to sign almost every 7-footer available every year. FSU actually signed two 7-footers in their 2019 class which is ranked #15. College Basketball Recruiting Schools - ESPN
Florida offered Matthew Hurt but he may be a long shot.

I think we will go grad transfer route.
Whoah...if this guy is listed as a PF, someone is gonna have to load about 40 more pounds of "power" to that frame. Matthew Hurt:
Have you heard something?
Hurt who is a McDonald-All-American must have played bigger than his current weight (6'8 214).
Has anybody noticed that the # 3 team in the nation Virginia has 5 starting players from outside the US. Have we looked outside the US?
Agreed...of course Matt Bonner came in as a frosh looking somewhat similar and I didn't think he would ever be able to play the 4. I was pleasantly wrong in that case.
This is not even remotely true. Not that I disagree with looking overseas.
His name in Russian translates to "I will not develop."
He knows, he’s just not telling
If you watched game day they had the five foreign players on. 2 from Australia one actually New Zealand. One from Africa, one from Italy and one from South America.
Why even keep it secret is the question.
With all due respect. . . weren't you the same guy who absolutely lambasted me when I posted that Armon Gates was leaving?
How do those two situations compare exactly?
