Billy finished tied for 2nd and took home a nice payout, $783,333.33
Son got in as well, but I'm not paying that out of state tuition. Told him I'd buy him a nice car when he graduates college instead. Think (hope) he will stick with VaTech.
Fortunately, we are in state and have Bright futures. Thank God for smart kids!
My have times changed. I was able to do UF on the cheap, but that was in the early 80's. I did have to work my a** off though. I'd do it again in a NY minute. No regrets. It's paid off quite well. Go Gators!!
Same here. I told him I would pay for undergrad but he got the Bright Futures so instead of taking the equivalent amount away I told him he should save it for grad school. That plus he works 20 hours a week at Panera's and mows three lawns in the spring and summer so he should graduate with no debt and a few dollars in the bank, which is a lot more than I could say after I graduated from UF.
EVERY day is a great day to be a Gator!
Yep, I recall that feeling in our Gator family. Congrats!
Sad day tho for those Gator legacies that have to go elsewhere. Still, there are a lot of great universities out there.
I always tell my kids we'll support their decision to go to ANY college they want...
....as long as it's UF.
(TIC of course...but UF is #1 target throughout house. Congrats on having the dream = reality).
Wednesday March 3rd not so much.
