Haven't even put any pressure on Texas defense or pitcher.

 

I guess this is what you call pitched to contact. Tavan with only 1 K, but given up only 2 hits and one of those was a swinging bunt.

 

I swear Erickson was not stepping like that last year, idk who told her to start doing that because it is painful to watch. Looks like daring pitchers to pitch her inside but they just go outside and she is not swinging at the strikes outside.

 

It’s actually amazing that Kavan who is a predominantly rise ball strikeout pitcher has been able to so easily change her entire strategy.

 

Need to spend the rest of the afternoon in OKC at the batting cages without Aric Thomas.

And of course the last out is a weak bouncer to 3rd. Oh well.

 

Welp, Kavan dominated us. All our girls can do is regroup and fight.

Holding a high powered Texas offense to 3 is actually an admirable job by our pitching staff. Offense really crapped the bed today. Actually they haven’t been very good all postseason save for a few timely homeruns.

At least UF will get good points for the Director's Cup.

 

Ugh. Good job by Rothrock and the defense, but great job by Kavan and that third baseman and co. Still we might see them again.
