Has this been posted? Russia won't end Ukraine war until NATO "pulls out" of Baltics: Moscow The Ukraine war won't end until NATOwithdraws troops from the Baltics, a top Russian official has warned. Sergei Ryabkov, Russia's deputy foreign minister responsible for U.S. relations, nonproliferation and arms control, made the remarks in an interview with state-run news agency Tass.
Wow, that’s some brilliant imagination you have there, sir. I won’t ask what you’re on. But I can assure you Russia already have more natural resources under their feet (minerals, oil, gas, etc etc) than any country in the world. If that is your argument, then we might as well begin learning Russian now.
I saw that last night. Not what you want to read three weeks away from a trip to Estonia… It really puts the lie to Russia’s justifications for the war, whether that be ethnic Russians, Nazis or Ukraine. This has always been about imperialism. We’ve known this for quite some time as one of Russia’s top generals admitted Ukraine was only a stepping stone. Claiming the Baltics need to leave NATO where they’ve been for more than two decades is not only absurd but a natural demand to accommodate Russia’s intended expansion.
Ukraine says Russia launches nearly 500 drones and missiles and ALL were shot down INCLUDING 10 hypersonic message and is still squealing about horrific damage. Yes, I’d sooner lean towards Russian accounts.
NATI chief Mark Rutte is my Diva for the Day. He says vastly ramp up NATO defenses today or speak Russian tomorrow.
Lots of nuance here, Russians aren’t exactly delighted to be at war with the West, but Moscow is going, growing and glowing …
Judging by the number of civilian deaths reported I don’t think many if any were shot down. But you keep crowing about civilian deaths and the continued targeting of women and children.
You do realize that when drones and cruise missiles are intercepted, they still have to crash down somewhere, right? Having the remains of a drone or cruise missile fall on civilians or their homes, will cause injury and damage. This was considered a successful intercept for the Russians but it did not work out well for the folks on the beach.
That’s mighty generous of you five months after the fact, but I’m pretty sure you understood like most people, whether they love the President or hate him, that the 24-hour claim was never meant to be taken literally. But he did say it, so he has to reap it.
20K missiles, the primary kind used to stop shahed drones, were diverted to the ME instead of Ukraine. Missiles promised to Ukraine by Biden and by congress diverted by the drunka t the orders fo the russian agent in the WH. Notonly ahs he stoped patriot missiles, he has refused to seel them and then this where he stops the priamry weapon being sued to protect civilians..in case there was any doubt who he was working to defeat. what a world class pos..every day he proves it again Trump administration redirects 20,000 anti-drone missiles meant for Ukraine, Zelensky confirms – Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration diverted 20,000 anti-drone missiles originally intended for Ukraine to American forces in the Middle East, in an interview with ABC News published on June 8. Zelensky said Ukraine had counted on the missiles to help counter relentless Russian drone attacks, which include swarms of Iranian-designed Shahed-type drones. On June 1, Russia launched a record 472 drones in a single night. “We have big problems with Shaheds… we will find all the tools to destroy them,” Zelensky said. “We counted on this project — 20,000 missiles. Anti-Shahed missiles. It was not expensive, but it’s a special technology.” Zelensky said the plan had been agreed upon with then-U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and was launched under President Joe Biden’s administration. Pentagon diverting key anti-drone technology from Ukraine to US forces in the Middle East | CNN Politics The Pentagon notified Congress last week that it will be diverting critical anti-drone technology that had been allocated for Ukraine to US Air Force units in the Middle East, according to correspondence obtained by CNN and people familiar with the matter. The move reflects the US’ shifting defense priorities under President Donald Trump – toward the Middle East and the Pacific – and the fact that US stockpiles of some defense components are becoming increasingly stretched. The technology, proximity fuzes for the rockets Ukraine uses to shoot down Russian drones, was redirected from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) to Air Force Central Command on orders from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, according to the correspondence dated May 29 and sent to the Senate and House Armed Services committees. USAI is a Defense Department funding program that was established in 2014, when Russia first invaded eastern Ukraine and annexed Crimea. It authorizes the US government to buy arms and equipment for Ukraine directly from US weapons manufacturers. The proximity fuzes were originally purchased for Ukraine but were redirected to the Air Force as a “Secretary of Defense Identified Urgent Issue,” the correspondence says.
