A bit off recent post direction but I would like to express my admiration for Ukraine's incredible ability to go toe to toe militarily with Russia.
Yes, they have done so with Western Aid, and no question the fight would have been over long ago without it, but I don't think the harshest of military critics can complain about Ukraine's will to fight and win this conflict, and that they have been very resourceful.

While I applaud yet another example of Ukraine's ability to fight the bear, and score substantial successes, as shown in the last few days,
my personal conclusion is this conflict will not end with any negotiated settlement. I think Putin and his gangsters are in too deep now, too much damage to Russia's military, infrastructure, Putin's vanity and of course the staggering amount of Russian blood spilled, by many accounts, up to 1 million casualties.

One thing has been clearly demonstrated, if NATO, with US support, is willing, Russia has no chance in a conventional war with the West.
I mean, they can't take Ukraine. Every day on the battlefield, this point is proven.

I suspect the hostilities will only end with a regime change in Russia, or if NATO / US drop support for Ukraine. I hope the Trump Administration will come to the conclusion that Putin is a liar and a thief and he will never legitimately negotiate a settlement on honorable grounds.
Honor is not a concept he understands. NATO should not abandon Ukraine's cause, they have earned the right to be a sovereign nation, and with NATO's support will be a buffer against Russian territorial aggression into Western Europe far into the future.

Are you sure Scott Ritter is a convicted pedophile?

Trump is between the devil and the deep blue sea. US public opinion is squarely behind Ukraine sovereignty and independence and he would confirm he's playing for the other side if he refuses to help them. On the other hand, he can't for a minute show he will provide MORE support for Ukraine, or Putin will hold kompromat over his head.

If Putin provides public evidence that Trump is a traitor as many of us suspect, if would effectively be the nuclear option that would divide our nation even more - collapsing the government and possibly leading to chaos.

He might end up having to play that card before the end if he is at risk and needs to blow us up politically.

You do not think there is someone else that was right about WMDs in Iraq that can be quoted on this conflict or is the convicted pedophile the only one?

I just assume this is part of some sort of alternate reality fan fiction he is writing. If he is really a paid Russian troll, they are not getting their money's worth.

Convicted twice, too. But never mind that. Let’s get some more policy advice from him.

Yeah, it's my inability to understand what is data is pertinent and relevant leads to my uninformed opinions being as good as your knowledge. I'll argue knowledge against better knowledge any day of the week, but it's hard to deal with folks who can't even understand what is real.

It used to be any printed matter of substance or material than went into a newspaper or TV news broadcast went through an editorial process to catch small errors, let alone untrue things.

Now - if you can read or see it on the internet, it must be true.

College is really good for one thing... learning how to think critically and have informed opinions and determine which data consists of knowledge and what is noise.

It is a shame all Americans don't have the opportunity (should be mandatory) to go to college for that reason alone.

“I must respond to someone responding to my aggression.”

I wonder why he even bothered to utter the words. Everyone already knows Russia is going to “accidentally” hit civilian targets responding to a military on military strike.

President Trump is purposely dodging direct talk about the war in Ukraine in lieu of a dissertation about the progression of the Iranian negotiations. This is basically a green light to Russia to retaliate. Like it or not, Ukraine had to know there would be a response. So whatever that response is, hopefully Zelenskyy don’t come crying to President Trump about it.

I suggest dear leader should give Iran two weeks! And give Vlad two more weeks just for talking to him, and give Xi two weeks to fix the trade tariffs and we need two weeks before we get a healthcare concept as well I suppose.
