Yeah that makes sense to me especially for a player that is the next year’s class. If he only had a 247 rating at .9500 and if rivals put in an initial rating of .8800 it would naturally reduce the overall composite. We will see what his rating looks like after this season is over. The kid had 900+ rushing yards and 500+ receiving yards as a sophomore at Plant. If he has another solid year he will be fine. I would expect Daniels in the 2024 class to see a jump at the end of the year as well.
Derrick Henry and Kelvin Taylor would have been a monster duo. Both broke the national high school rushing record in the same year.
Henry probably would have saved his job, so hindsight 20/20..... would it have been worth it? Just like Grier probably saves MacElwain. Mullen firing 3rd & Grantham.
As a youngster growing up in Inverness the CHS Hurricanes were, of course, my team. But the Tampa Tribune was our main source of information outside of Citrus County. Always looked forward to reading about the annual Thanksgiving Day football game between Plant and Hillsborough. I pulled for Plant because their colors and CHS’s are the same.
