We started with 16 plays from different sports. Plays that were walkoffs, or basically the last play of the game which won the game for the Gators. We are down to the final 2 plays.

Love Cheese, but it's the Cock Block.

Better name. Bigger moment. And that Roar. My god. Biggest since the Warrick Dunn silencer.

Setting there that day the game looked lost and Jarvis Moss comes though.

If you remember, we did a similar thing several years ago and had 64 football only plays and we voted it down to the greatest single play in Gator football history. Needless to say, the same play might win both competitions.

This was tough, as those were my personal two favorites for sheer emotional joy when watching them. My heart wanted Cheese, but the block led to a NC, so my head said go with the block. The roar alone made it the coolest ever single play. I think the Cheese play required more skill and was more improbable, but I still can't go against the NC. They are 1a and 1b to me for walk offs.

Cock block will forever be imprinted as our greatest play at the right time

Chris Chiozza's last second shot was insane and one of most fun ending to a basketball games that I've seen, next to Mike Millers last second shot against Butler. Both were crazy... excellent. But without Moss' cock-block the kicker from USCe would have kicked us out of contention for the Natty, so that one had far more important implications with it...

My wife and I were in the north end zone of the SC game and I still have ringing in my ears. That is the loudest I have ever heard the Swamp

I just watched those videos again and it sure sounded like good ole Vern was doing the basketball game as well.

The block. We are Gators. It doesn’t have to be offense.

I think after the game Spurrier shook his head and said, "Well boys it might be the year of the gator" or something similar. My memory is not as good as it once was so that quote might not be perfect but it is certainly close. Actually I have never been able to remember things very well, now that I think of it, but I do remember it was a great play.
