Have we lost a game under Mullen in which we were favored? Maybe Kentucky last year? Think that’s the only one.

Gators have had some close ones this year. Could also be at 4 losses. I wouldn't consider Virginia as being significantly better than Florida's overall average.

If adequately prepared, Gators should roll. That doesn't mean it is definite.

Almost not worth playing the game. I will go to Hooters in Tally with Gray but not gonna watch.

    To maximize TV revenue.

Sugar Bowl is by itself in the primetime spot on New Year's Day, with the Rose Bowl in the afternoon. Nothing notable gets played on NYE, since a huge chunk of potential viewers are doing something else. The Cotton Bowl, Peach Bowl (semifinal) and Fiesta Bowl (semifinal) are noon, 4pm and 8pm on Saturday the 28th. Nothing is on on the 29th (last day of NFL regular season). Orange Bowl is by itself in primetime on the 30th, in what's the Monday Night Football slot during the NFL regular season.

I think Greenard will play. I wouldn’t be shocked if Z has left the premises. Shocked if he played

Losing the game. For Virginia, it's a win-win scenario. We beat them, they get a big payout and a nice holiday. They beat us, get a big payout, huge bragging rights, and a nice holiday. For us, we gain nothing beating them but we stand to lose a lot if we lose. Dangerous game; seen way too many of these where the highly ranked team gets bowled over by the team that shouldn't even be there. I'd rather play Utah or Memphis.

So, if i understand the thread; it is a good match-up for us, but it is not. We should win easily, but not if don't come in with the right mindset and are not prepared. It is in a bad time slot but a really good one. We got screwed but it is really good for recruiting, unless we chit the bed and then it is not.

So, opinions aside, the reality is that despite our apparent talent advantage, the most motivated team usually wins so we have to rely on the team and the coaches. Pretty much sums up most opponents most weeks.

    Mullen seems to do okay.
I am looking forward to the game.

Mullen needs to convince our team that Virginia is 12-1 and we’re an underdog in this game.

We do get 11 wins if we win . That’s not bad is it?

IT's not like we can back out at this point. CDM and staff need to have the team focused to go down there and kick uva's ass all over the orange bowl, get that 11th win, and set the tone for 2020 and beyond.

And let's not forget this game. Last game in the Orange Bowl stadium
Virginia Blanks Miami, 48-0, in Orange Bowl Finale - University of Virginia Athletics

UVA doesn’t pocket the OB payout, the ACC splits bowl and TV revenue evenly, plus reimbursements for travel and tickets. If anything, a NY6 bowl means they’re paying Bronco a bigger bonus.

really couldn’t agree more. I’ll take a win but anything less that a 10-14 point win is a surprise. Worrisome Game.
