There are also a lot of doctors out there with just as impressive credentials who don't bother to make youtube videos to state the obvious ... Vaccines helped get us over the hump and forced the virus to mutate into something less deadly...

What are you talking about tilly?

    @middleoftheroadgator accused
me of lying. He went silent when called out and shown he had no clue what he was talking about. He decided to take a shot at a well respected doctor while taking shots at me and continuing to ignore that they are in the wrong.

I was respectful. Then they bring up their father dying. I have no clue how their father died. If it was Covid and they used their fathers death in this thread for that. What am I supposed to do. I said I was sorry their father died. But using their fathers death to silence me is on them. And I left it at the reality I am sorry their father died. As I don’t know why that was even brought up.

Sorry. But this is how jamming and agendas work to silence people. I was respectful. But not going to let an off topic subject silence the discourse. And I was 100% respectful about @middleoftheroadgator fathers death!

The gain is to never again have a disastrous public health response like we had.

Well, I also know a lot of Doctors who say were right and would disagree with you. I personally agree with Q 100% over most of the other BS posted

I prefer my epidemiologists not to compare the work of their fellow healthcare professionals, who wish to save lives, just like the Holocaust. The intent of the Holocaust was to kill of undesirables, and they did. 12 million, including 6 million Jews, and many gypsies, homosexuals, and more. COVID hasn't quite passed the 7 million death total, and had it not been for health professionals, plus things like the vaccine, we would have hit that mark already.

I also prefer health professionals that engage in healthy debate. Read the comments in the post I linked and getting banned by Prasad was a badge of honor. Other medical professionals were asking for explanations, or pointing out where the believe Prasad was incorrect. And instead of responding, Prasad would ban them. That's not how science is supposed to work. Scientific conclusions that cannot be defended when other experts ask questions are generally not accepted.

And I have plenty of other sources. But choose to focus on the ones that should resonate with the other side better.

Most of my sources is the actual hard data if you can get it reliably.

You tell me. Why has less than 50% of those 65 and older taken a booster? That number caught even me off guard knowing most doctors had realized far earlier than most realize the propaganda and narrative pushed on the shots was anti science and anti medicine. I figured the pubic health idiots with the help of the msm surely got that number closer to 80% with their control of the air waves. But reality is the doctors on the front lines did not push the shot like the idiots at the cdc and fda…

Because the original full series was wildly successful and still providing incredible long-term protection against severe disease for those without compromised immune systems.

No. Once omicron hit it was irrelevant (even with Delta/there was some small potential therapeutic benefit but with all the lying from the cdc and public health idiots I even question that to a point. But now it is not worth a fight at this point with where things are).

We know natural immunity was superior. We know the groups that were and are at little to no risk. Doctors knew this during Delta. And it is why so few took the booster. And as time goes…you are going to want to know how many shots you took and how many times you had covid so your GP/cardiologist/specialist can properly treat you.

The question that you should ask, is why would you take him seriously at all. He is a man who loves to hear his name in public, and has taken $Millions (though know one can say how much because this man of horrible character will not admit who funds him or why) to do nothing but attack modern medicine (he is likely a pawn of the insurance companies who do not want to pay for new, expensive treatments - so they have found a useful idiot like this to be their "crusader").

He is a Hematologist/Oncologist. He knows less about viruses, viral kinetics or immunology than I do (I took the on-line virology class from Columbia). He also boasts about being an epidemiologist (because it sounds impressive). He is an alleged expert on population level disease impacts, spread and other non-specific topics that are than statistically modeled. He also has a Masters in "Public Health", which literally anyone can go get.

In the end, he has a bio of absolutely know in-depth knowledge of anything, save possibly oncology, and how to use statistics to get insurance companies out of paying for experimental, potentially life saving cancer treatments.

Or in other words, a likely pretender in almost all areas who pretends he is "just looking out for the average person", when he is in fact "looking out" for insurance companies, his likely benefactor.

Why would you pay attention to anything he says when there are dozens of legitimate virologists, immunologists, infectious disease experts out there discussing the topics of COVID and COVID response with expertise and decades of knowledge???

You posting that here will have no bearing.
And again, you are false in thinking that most doctors share that view.

And i too think a good deal of the policy was poor, but mostly because of a learning curve.

Ok I personally know a few in Gainesville, I shouldn't have said a lot. But there is a lot of doctors out there that agree with this.

You may as well stop posting then. As this take goes for everything we all say if you really believe it.

I definitely sympathize with your perspective on how to best judge which scientists have legitimate expertise in this area. The issue is that Q is clearly using a different metric for this task. I’d like to try to better understand this divergence of reasoning.

I disagree. I think we have many conversations here that are mutually beneficial.

This article is a little over a year old, but nearly 90% of primary care providers think the COVID vaccines are safe and effective. One commonality among those who are unsure include political affiliation. But to say a majority of healthcare providers are against the vaccines is false.

One problem is if the 10% is vocal, like Dr. Prasad, it gives a voice to the skeptics. But if 9 out of 10 doctors recommend something, or 9 out 10 dentists recommend something, then that should tell you something.

So is mine. You just disagree with my position. That is fine. You are one of the last I would have expected to try and silence a voice. This board is ripe with anti DeSantis garbage that has no basis. I start a thread showing why he has been great and should be lauded. And for you to pull the "my dads lung and cardio doctors who are Christians" nonsense? That was weak on your part. Extremely.
