What a tragic loss of a young promising life. His mother died of cancer in Aug at only 43. Handling loaded guns requires your full attention and should never be taken for granted.

My boys lost 3 friends this year alone to accidental shootings. 16 yr old, one 18, and one 19. Ive always preached the highest level of gun safety to them but it just takes on millisecond. Ive always hammered into their heads that cars and guns have no conscience. They go and do exactly what they are told to do by the users. Such a tragic situation.
Sorry to hear that. Totally agree with you. I take my 18 and 19 year old shooting routinely and as a parent, I demand they respect what they are handling. But...they are teenagers, so same as with driving, one can only hope that they operate with the heightened level of respect that’s warranted given the equipment and circumstances.
