Urban Meyer names his choice for college football’s best atmosphere
Start to mend the fences with the little things. Once CDM gets this cranked back up, and Urbz stays retired, it'll be time for the RoH.
There Meyer goes lying again. He knows from personal experience that for best atmosphere you can't beat cowbells and war chants.
Should we now put him in the Ring of Honor?
This is a good example of why telling lies always come back on you... when you tell the truth, people can’t be sure of you motive.
Urbs is no dummy. He knows what he’s doing
Yes he does. Many here in Gator Country, Gator Nation, disliked the way he left our program, and it's okay to be mad at him for that. But he did what he had to do for his own life. I'm over it. He left and now he's just a former coach that coached our team/s to two freaking Nattys...
Look on the bright side, without Meyer we don't have Mullen coaching our team right now.
Bastard is after Steve's job!
It's cool I hope to see him visiting Hogtown soon.
When he first stepped down he had legit health concerns.
Nobody ends up in the ER after a syncope for shirts and gargles.
The mistake was bringing him back to save that years recruiting class. It was selfish and short sighted.
He should have taken that year off instead of spending the following year on the sidelines less than 100%.
Yes, he was less than 100% in 2010.
yeah....but can you say, "I'm sorry" ?
THE Swamp. Maybe tOSU does not own THE after all.
I love Urban; all is about to get back right between us and him.
Well duh, you'd have to be out of your freaking mind not to want to come to Florida!
(hope I didn't get that quote too mangled)
Urban Meyer was a hired gun. I have to ask myself which of his 4 head coaching stops got the most out of his services. It was us, hands down. Without him, there would have been no Tim Tebow at UF, we would trail SWAC 3-1 in National Championships, and Bobby Bowden would have retired with a winning record against us. Thank you, Urban Meyer.
Mickey Marotti basically talked him out of it when he pulled Urban aside and told him everyone else would lose their job if he quit, the first time. Jeremy told him they would do what ever it took to make it (2010) work, don’t leave. Hello Dazzler!
There was a time I didn’t think he would probably ever get into the RoH. Now I believe there is a fairly good chance he just might. Time heals most wounds.
“Steve Spurrier, when they built The Swamp in the 90s, it’s very hot,” Meyer said. “Gainesville is obviously right in the center of the state. Not a whole lot of air circulates in the center of the state of Florida, especially early in the season. It is so hot. Only Gators get out alive, is what Steve Spurrier said. The fans, the student body is incredible. The fans are out of their damn minds. When we had that thing going, a night game in The Swamp was second to none.”
Nice quote from urban. I have no I'll feelings about him.
He's right you know.
Wish it still was
