Best guess at the moment is Henderson. Henderson on the inside DL, Mike P on the outside DL/OLB, Scott at ILB or he could swap with Toney for Safety, Raymond with the Corners.
A couple of days ago I was worried about scholly numbers but I am sure it will all work out by the end of spring practice.
Worried in what way? I didn't quite follow the covid scholly rules, but if the limit is still 85, then we're very close to that already.
Does anyone know how many staffers we had under Mullen vs how many we will have under Napier. Napier's staff does a much better job of making the hiring of each staff member public so it feels like he's hiring the largest staff in the history of college football. But it might be just slightly bigger than Mullen's. Based on their website, it looks like UGA has 52 staffers.
I am in the same mindset as Bama and aTm on the 85 scholarship cap; that’s more of a recommendation than a rule….same with the 25 max per year. I mean if the NCAA is not going to enforce it, is it really a rule?
Recent tweet said the goal was 70+ staffers (30+ hired with 40+ to go), which should be more than UGA and Bammer. Napier is playing the p.r. game with the announcements, but this isn't a mirage. UF is increasing its staff by 2 to 3 times. That extra $7 mill Napier secured is being put to good use.
I believe it was in the high 20s, but not 100% on that. I think Mac increased some analyst positions, but by and large the support staff was the traditional support staff with grad assistants filling that gaps. A model that nearly everyone had been using since the early 2000s. Nice to be back in the big leagues from an organizational perspective.

Iirc u have like a 7 scholly buffer on some level to accommodate the vacancies of transfers and however that applies to initial counters. Believe that’s what I read.
I've been impressed with how Napier has moved since he's been hired. This is the vision I had for the previous staff. Nice to just sit back & enjoy the ride
85 is the max scholarship limit. Not a recommendation as stated above. However, players were granted an extra year of eligibility due to the lost Covid year. Colleges can keep those kids on their rosters the previous lost Covid year one additional year, which allows them to temporarily exceed the 85 max, if applicable. Many programs don’t do so due to cost constraints. A lot of athletic departments were in the red due to Covid and did not have the luxury of SEC TV contracts or a position of financial strength
To be more fair, the $7M is being spent. The “good use” part is very unknown. From the outside, it sure looks organized which is very encouraging.
