Listened to it Tilly. I took it is as he wants Kelly to hire him and he speculated Kelly would go some where. Kelly gave no indication of anything. That was Vilma looking for a job. I'm not saying Kelly could not come here but that just sounded like Vilma hoping for a job from his friend.

Or things have just changed on SEC approval for Kelly if true.. Most of the guys on our list are in that situation described by SOS (other than Kelly) and SOS probably thinks Stoops is retired for good. Positives Kelly: - established and has NFL experience -coached Heisman winner -quicker start Positives Frost: - younger version of Kelly could stay longer -was the OC at Oregon when they were hot and had the Heisman winner also
Spurrier is pretty involved I think . He knows who we are targeting. I hope it’s Frost if not Kelly. Worst case Taggert
Or Tebow, who Kelly strung along and then cut when he should have made the roster. Tebow of course took the high road and thanked Kelly for the opportunity, when he should have told him to pound sand
Spurrier recently commented on the coaching situation and said “The coach being considered, is currently with his team”.
And don’t love the idea of Vilma as our LB coach. Great player but no coaching experience at all and a cane to boot
Or Stricklin is specifically telling SoS to spread bad information. Kelly would be a monster hire and everybody would notice.
The issue with announcing a coach soon is that the NCAA limits the number of coaches a team can have. So announcing Chip means one of our current coaches woukd have to be released/demoted, whatever. Personally I think Chip should be our guy. I'm concerned that Frost has so many factors going for the soon to be open Nebraska job that he'll use UF leverage to get a UF payday at Nebraska. I'd do the same thing in his position. If not Kelly or Frost, Florida takes more risk than it should with a Norvell type, or there is a dark horse that wows us all.
