Recently watched Only the Brave on Prime. It's the true story about the Granite Mountain Hotshots, and how they tragically lost their lives fighting the Yarnell fire near Prescott, AZ in 2013. It's a very accurate retelling and while tragic, shows the bonds that these guys form, and how troubled people can redeem themselves.

28 Years Later was ok. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't edge-of-your-seat good like the previous 2 installments. I fell asleep a lot during the movie which is rare. It's just a far slower movie. Just saw the new Jurassic Park and it was better than I expected. A bit over-the-top with the bigger, badder dinos when I thought they did their best with the T-Rex and titansoaurs.

It's not a 'must see on big screen' movie. Only reason I saw it at the theater is that they have $5 tuesdays and right next to the theater is Raising Canes which I just discovered and is awesome.

Second this one. Hadn’t really been a fan of his music (or so I thought) until the wife and I watched this over a couple nights (it’s about 5 hours).

LOVED this. What a crazy, broken, beautiful life that guy lived

I like most band documentaries and this one was every bit as good as The History of the Eagles.

Saw the preview for the new Conjouring movie. I liked the other installments so probably go see it.

The reviews have been good, so I’m excited about it.

We also just watched Sketch in the theaters. Highly recommended. A lot of fun, dark humor, and heart. What I did not realize before taking my 9 yr old daughter and her best friend was that Sketch is also a full blown horror movie. It’s PG and for families, but it’s still scary. During the movie, I thought to myself “We are never going to be allowed to hang out with this girl again”. :emoji_joy:

Yeah horror comedy. Sort of the in vein of Gremlins or Arachnophobia. It is good for kids if they like that kind of thing.

Yes, it is very grim but still worth a watch.

The story about how he met Christie Brinkley was amazing.

I was vaguely aware of it since I came across some elements of it some books I was reading that touched on how the Mormons had their own little state. If I remember correctly they talked about how they would kidnap women because there never enough if you are allowed to have multiple wives and some rich men had lots of wives. No clue if that is accurate or not but it was an interesting idea when you think about that time period.

Loved it. But yes, the untamed west was very unforgiving.

The History of the Eagles is the standard. But I’m a huge fan. Now I’m curious about this one.

The thing is that Mormons have the reputation of being about the nicest people around and that's been my experience. In that show, they were a nasty, murderous and heartless bunch. At last the militia and Young himself.

‘Hell on Wheels’ portrayed them similarly. Aggressive, militant and not an ounce of compassion outside their community. The stories differ so much it’s hard to tell what is actually accurate.

I watched the first season or two of that, I guess back when it came out. I don't think it got into the Mormons yet.
I did like the show, wonder why I didn't finish?
