Oh, the Dems could mess up a one car parade. Look at the excellent Lincoln Project ads. They could never come up with stuff like that on their own. Trust me, I know.

Someone like Klobuchar, Warren or even Sanders would walk away with this election. I say even Sanders, because I think he'd generate enough enthusiasm on the left to push him past the finish line.

Maybe Klobuchar. But not Warren or Sanders. They are too far left to pick up the independents needed and would be easy targets of socialism related criticisms. Biden won the nomination because he's a largely unoffensive, white male moderate democrat. He's hard to attack with anything substantive or policy related.

Nobody hates Trump more than progressives do. I'm not worried about them staying home this time.

For sure. You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.

Biden having dementia is not an objective fact like you pretend it is. Its speculative - just as it is with Trump. IMO he possesses the mental acuity of the average person his age - which is to say he's suffered some cognitive decline but nothing out of the ordinary.

Sanders pushes moderate Republicans who are considering not voting for president or voting third party or even voting for Biden, back into voting for Trump. Probably Warren as well. (which is kind of sad, she sees the problems facing America more clearly than most, while I disagree with her proposed solutions, her Two-Income Trap should be required reading for every American)

He needs a boring, not scary VP and he will be the next president. Picking someone who fires up the liberals will fire up the GOP more than it fires up the liberals and it goes back to being a toss up.

Since the George Floyd mess, Klobuchar’s star has crashed. If she were the nominee, the Dems would have a serious race issue this year.

Nope! All that enthusiasm people talk about for Sanders did not get the loudmouths marching and screaming to get off their knees to come out and vote for him TWICE. Sanders is a benign racist and That socialist democrat crap did not play well in state wide elections. Klobochar is centrist but Her past and current environment don’t mix. #valdemmings

Nah. Sanders voters couldn't even bother to vote for him in the primaries. And republicans would stay home or hold their nose and vote Trump.

The beauty of the Biden candidacy is that virtually every reality-based attack on him is also true of Trump so there are few meaningful differences in Trump's favor to attack.

That said, the Trump team made a critical mistake in lowering the bar for Biden. They went too early trying to get the cognitive decline narrative to stick, and in fact have hurt their own candidate in the process. Their attempt to define Biden failed, and now Biden gets to go into the debates with lowered expectations.

Uh oh... he’s making a comeback.

‘We have polls that show me leading in almost every swing state,’ Trump says

Trump at family dinner... “Raise you’re hand if you’re voting for me”

    [Counts hands]

“That’s a yes from Junior, Jared, and Ivanka with no’s from Melania, my other daughter, and, geez Barron...et tu? Well Barron’s too young to vote so I won this poll 3-2. Put out a quote our internal pollls show me ahead!”
