Strickland just responded on Twitter to Thomas, for him to slow his role, no Black!
I saw a black helmet at one of the auction booths in the stadium saturday that I have never seen. So, I assume they are coming at some point.
Beauchamp going down and the LSU uniforms are the two things I remember about that game. I also remember feeling just awful for him.
Yeah, just realized it was Chester. Don't know why I remembered it as Tim.
Anything but ALL BLACK. We are the Orange and Blue school.
That makes sense. We hint at wearing all black to get them to wear purple.
I like the idea of the black and have no problem it not being a school color. Black and white are universal. Embrace the black and embrace the Swamp monster. The players and recruits will love it.
If it is going to be a home game, and it should, then of the remaining games FSU is the logical choice. Unless Senior day is off limits. But the Senior players might chose it.
Don't think it's gonna happen but those black uni's are pretty sick looking.
If I remember correctly from my Florida history class at UF, there is some history for the use of black in our school colors. When the University was founded, they merged 2 schools together. One schools colors were blue and white and the others were black and orange.
My high school colors were purple and gold, and on top of that, we were the Marianna High Bulldogs.... a double whammy!! There were also lots of Tigers in the panhandle.
Notice Strickland said, very specifically, No black this weekend...
We're the home team for UGA this year, plus we've got home games against Vandy and FSU.
I don't think we'd elect to wear black for a day game with forecast in the mid-high 80s (UGA) or against a team that has black as one of its colors (Vandy), so I'm guessing the seniors' final home game against FSU.
East Florida Seminary (which became a military school in 1881) wore black and orange; Florida Agricultural College (in Lake City; the state's first land-grant college) wore blue and white. Pretty good memory (although there were also two other schools that were rolled into the University of the State of Florida: St. Petersburg Normal and Industrial School and South Florida Military College).
Reminds me too much of Miami
I went to Seminole High in Pinellas county and our colors were orange and green...but I was Gator by birth so I held my nose for 4 years
If any game was meant for all black it would be at LSU, Dem coon-asses would think we were putting a voodoo curse on der ass
Why dislike this post? This was a legit statement and even our AD was in the conversation! Get on an ani-depressant
Well we wore white helmets vs Auburn and their white helmets which must have thrown their QB off as he threw three picks to our white helmets. I say we wear as similar to LSU colors as we can!!! (just kidding before anyone thinks I am actually serious).
