I would be even more furious if I were a fan of UGA and Clemson. So far the ESPN/ABC deal is a joke!

    One more ABC game time

The Florida Gators will host Texas A&M at The Swamp on Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. in their SEC opener, while UF's game against Georgia will kick off at 3:30 p.m. from EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.

When that shade finally catches up to your seat it is indeed a glorious feeling.

The B1G still gets more money per team than the SEC and they use 3 networks to our 1 network... And yes, I know ESPN has several channels from which to choose, but it's just a matter of broadcast quality degradation with them.

IOW, they have a top down tier of talent and that in their ONE entire network... in their entire broadcast conglomeration of channels, where as with 3 different networks you have 3 top tier broadcast professionals teams of announcers from which to choose. One network means one top tier broadcast team.

The Swamp is just too Dan hot for football this time of the year. Usually no breeze at all. I came for Bama a couple years ago and I think I’ll be there for Miami. Good openers bring the crowd even if it too hot. If it were Samford, there’s no way in hell I’d go.

Bama was praying for the clock to stop two years ago. They were gassed and on the ropes.

Yep, I like watching it slowly creep up to you and then FINALLY!

    It's a great feeling.

I may be an outlier but I always liked the Jefferson Pilot game. It showed teams that don't usually make it on TV and had kind of a local feel, kinda like listening to it on the radio but it was TV. Even different commercials to go with different announcers.

I liked them a lot, because I remember when there were only 2 games on most Saturdays on TV: the ABC game of the week at 3:30 and Notre Dame and whoever they were playing. And those two games would be played at the same time.

When the coalition of schools that sued the NCAA to own their own broadcast rights won, the floodgates opened.

Got a question about the seating at The Swamp. We are only allowed 4 tickets through UM as season ticket holders so we will not be able to have all 5 of us sitting together. With that said if my son who is 10 will be with us is it possible to have him just sit with us? Is that something that happens there with the type of seats? Thanks in advance.

There was a long tradition of "sneaking" people into your seat by sitting down, then one person leaves with two ticket stubs, then comes back with another person. Can be quite fun particularly if the people you are bringing in are chicks and they have to sit on someone's lap.
Not sure if they have cracked down on that but with flat bleachers it's possible unless you are sitting next to some Karen's who like to complain about such things. If you are in the miame section, could be ok though as they are less likely to turn on their brethren.

Our seats are in Row 54, and, we get shade there about 3:45 that time of year. The Visitor sections will get no shade the entire game. The only thing is, fans from in-state teams often mix with their friends throughout the stadium, too. We will still have a huge advantage being in the Swamp due to the crowd noise. But, on the field, it's hotter in Miami than it is here. Both teams will have to deal with the heat.

I can't see that happening. There is far too little butt space for each seat to have your row donate some for five of you in four seats. I wouldn't count on it (at least until one team is ahead by multiple scores in the last quarter.)

I think so, too. Practicing in the heat is brutal, but, it did used to help acclimate new players to our heat.

Well the days of sneaking in chicks is over it would just be one person. We are requesting to have another allotment to be next to them but if they don't might just have my son standing in front of me or my wife(Gator Alumni) if we can away with it. Thanks again.

A sellout will make it even less likely. Good luck (with the seating, not the game ;) )
