The FSU Take on the Match
Tennis Takes on Florida In the Fresh From Florida Sunshine Showdown

“It is a huge honor and opportunity for us to be a part of this historic tennis event down at the USTA National Campus,” said head coach Jennifer Hyde. “It is going to be unlike any other match that we have experienced or ever will experience. We are thankful to the USTA for all the hours that are going into making this an elite event for all of our student-athletes. This is why you play big time division one tennis and come to a school like Florida State. You get to be in these types of situations and have this type of exposure. We are highly prepared and we are ready to get going.”

For the men, this will be the second consecutive year that they have taken on the Gators in Orlando as a part of the USTA’s College MatchDay series. Last year the Seminoles came out on top as they upset the No. 15 ranked Florida Gators 4-2 in front of the largest regular-season tennis crowd of 2017, and the fifth largest crowd to ever watch a college men’s tennis match (1,756 people).
