In 2021 the UF defense should be better than it was in 2020 while the offense probably not as high scoring as it was last season, so now that we know who the Gators will be playing in 2021 what should be their record? Let’s hope that I am not showing my bias but my prediction is 10-2 and yours.?

I believe that the defense (specially the DBs) will be more talented than it was in 2020.

    10-2
    Alabama - L
LSU - Likely loss, possible upset
Georgia - Likely loss, possible upset

I say we split one of LSU & Georgia.
    Possibly winning both.
Our defensive turnaround is the key.

    Non-Conference:
FAU, at South Florida, Samford, Florida State

    Key SEC Games:
Alabama, Tennessee, at Kentucky, Vandy, at LSU, Georgia, ..
    at South Carolina, at Missouri

Five road games offer many stumbling blocks.
    Six home games & a neutral site(Jax).

    9-3 (5-3)

    Emmitt speaks:

"I think in order for the University of Florida to get to where we really want to go, we have to build that mental toughness with our front five offensively and our front seven defensively in order to compete and contend with the Alabama's of the world," Smith said. "And until that happens, I don't know when we will win another SEC Championship Game.

So when I look at our defense down at the University of Florida, I see guys that are very sizeable, talented, but have a work ethic like a child, a mentality like a very immature person. Which, they are young kids, and you expect them to be somewhat immature. But you want them to grow into a level of maturity, like a Jalen Hurts, for example, the way he handled himself at Alabama when Tua (Tagovailoa) came in and all those kind of things."

Emmitt Smith: UF defense lacks mental toughness to win championships

Didn’t Hurts transfer? I agree with everything he said except who he chose as an example

Bama and L$U will be tough!!
Poodles will be the key game as usual the last few years.

Semis play the game as they are strapped for $$$ and who knows how many clown fans they can pack into the stadium that Ron Zook made his own!!

    Go Gators!!

    I was joking!
    I'm sure they will too.
Can't be much worse than they were this past season.

    I'm thinking 9-3.

10-2 would be a strong showing from team in transition.

Maybe a surprise win or loss in there.

9-3 or 8-4. We lost some absolute superstars from last year’s team and while I still think we have some talented players at important positions, none are on the level of Pitts, Toney, or Trask.

How good we are depends a lot on the improvements defensively and the impact Jones and Bowman can have on the running game.

I think there should be positives involving the secondary, but we've lost a few playmakers
An upset on the road plus Bama 10-2
    Maybe 9-3

That's actually the most positive thing he's ever managed to say about our football team.

Losses to Alabama and Georgia next year with a step back in our scoring capability. Probably a loss to one other team, possibly LSU. I'm going to say 9-3.
