Could not have said it better. By the way, joe burrows was a 2* recruit. I would capitalize his name if he were a 5*.

Don't underrate the athleticism needed for guard as well, when the game plan is for the guards to pull a lot. Between some lack of athleticism plus some injuries slowing a few guys (especially the right side), the timing was off with the guards and tackles, and they really couldn't get anything going running power either. Hevesy really had no options. Now with adding some guys with some power and athleticism in White and Braun, power with Reese, along with another offseason for Gouraige to mature, and getting Delance moving better in the spring, there is more competition for spots and more potential for the offensive line to run whatever Mullen wants instead of what he has to. We do now have some guys that can potentially match up to the SEC Dlines coming their way to become less predictable.

Once we get to 2021, the OL will definitely be much more about moving correctly and identifying the right guy than being physically dominant. It should mitigate any lack of elite physical talent and strength if they can move well enough and play smart.

They were definitely caught in between schematically and from a health perspective last year, and I imagine some of that will carry over to this season.

I really like what we brought in for the OL in 2020. Not sure what to make of this 2021 haul but a lot of us feel this may not be the final bunch and i can see some movement happening. OL makes a leap this year and maybe ole Hev can snatch an elite OT for 2022. Need an elite OT

I agree, offers matter! There are the guys with 30 offers mostly from the top programs. Some or most of those for a high four star are “commit today and the spot is yours” offers. We just never know where a guy fits on a board. I wish we had four high four stars from last class enrolled, four high fours committed this cycle and this commit was to finish with good numbers. I’m probably asking too much though.

Absent Isaiah Walker we have three OL in 2020 amd one is all but unranked. Am I missing something?

Braun is as close to a plug and play player that we have gotten as freshman in years. Walker needed a lot of time in the weight room before he could contribute. Leonard will be an absolute mauler, and Mincey is going to be as athletic tackle as we have had for a while. I don't see any of our '21 recruits that are as good as them imho. Had we gotten Dumervil, it would have been the best class in many years.

Yea man im mad that we couldn't have gotten Dumervil. That would have shored up things. But i agree, not sure if we have any plug and play guys in the 2021 class. Hell i think Leonard could get snaps at some point this season

Do we know if Wardrick Wilson will be on campus? That wild sort of help this year’s group I suppose.

After watching what MLB is going threw, i doubt we are going to have college football this year.
