3/3 so far....
Why not? They lost at home to a 4-8 team, and are currently getting blown out.
Because, all things being equal (record, for example), head-to-head matters. And should.
If the roles were reversed, we'd say the same thing.
LSU needs a 4 TD blow out you say ......
We would lose our minds if the situation were reversed. Head to head is the most important tie breaker.
But in this case it isnt even a tie as UGA has more wins.
11-2 with a win over UF is going to be ranked higher than 10-2 with a loss to UGA.
Even if BOTH of our starting defensive ends were out the entire game?
I guess South Carolina should be ranked ahead of Georgia too if all we care about is head to head. With this committee, anything is possible.
We also didn’t end our season on a loss. That matters.
Or our DC had applied some pressure. *runs away*
...No. It is a valid point, but then UGA counters with the injuries tonight making the game lopsided.
I mean, I hope a miracle happens, but lets be honest...It wont.
Valid points on both sides no doubt.
Yep...and the records aren't even equal. UGA has more wins than us.
And half their team is injured as of tonight.. This is not the same UGA team we played
Might as well expand to an 8 team playoff. We want the regular season to matter, but yet Georgia lost to a 4-8 team and it didn’t seem to matter.
Losing to bad teams, at home, no less, should have a lot more weight.
I think we need to go to 16. Every other division does it. Even high schools have 16.
