Boy UT has some cheap ass recruits. No wonder Georgia out recruits them. $100 bill in with the big Egg McMuffen? UT ought to embarrassed they paid so little to lose so much. And their record still sucked. This is better than fiction. Bruce Willis as Pruitt and Rosie O' Donnell as Phil Fulmer in the movie " You Can't Outrun Stupid, the Jeremy Pruitt / Tennessee Love Story"

How the might have fallen. The strangers didn’t have to climb Ole’ Rocky Top- the administration came down with the moonshine still, signed confessions, and embarrassing tales of double hamburgers with cash and pickles.

I thought Fulmer had a lifetime supply of Krispy Kreme bags for Pruitt to use........

Administrations and hc’s seem to be separated from the shenanigans but they damn well know what’s going on.

The more I reflect on it, Sankey's comments may have triggered the NCAA into whacking us and ATM and now the Vols, with the Leghumpers to follow. When you lead the SEC, you probably don't want to whine about a lack of NCAA enforcement.

True, but he may be as good as any other option viable for them at this time.

Hopefully, they are smart enough to wait until after the sanctions are announced to go public with their next cheating coach. I wouldn't bet on it.

Why does Pruitt remind me of the movie Deliverance?

It's only a guess on my part, but this feels like UT did some digging around, looking for cause in order to mitigate that awful contract, and uncovered way more mess than they expected, needed, or wanted. They may be rid of Pruitt, but now what?

I wasn't joking, but the article said "never." Which is a long time. Near future is completely different than never.
I mean they have lots of $, lots of fans, and a whole state to themselves.
They are also close to ATL and not far from SC and NC.
    So it's possible. One day.

They need a total house clean, including ripping out all leadership, and then hire some professionals instead of good ole boys like Fulmer.
THEN if they hired a real coach, then yes I could see them back in the playoff. Perhaps before 2035 even.

I do have a tendency to take everything literally, so there's that.

I hope Pruitt sues them. There has to be some dirt in that administration. If they are right about Pruitt sticking his head in the sand or even being directly involved in the recruiting violations, where was UT's compliance office? Cheating in college football and UT in particular is as foreseeable as Phil Fulmer being carried out of a Chinese buffet. It has happened. It happens now. It will happen again. So who was asleep at the wheel in the air conditioned offices away from the football facility? Whether that is a winning argument or not, who cares. It will be fun to see them throw stones at each other. It keeps UT down and makes their coaching hire, which will already be like 2001 A Space Odyssee, even funnier. Deliverance v. Forrest Gump in a mud wrassling ( as they say in Tenn) contest.

It's also possible that they were expecting a humanitarian-of-the-year award from the NCAA for showing integrity. I'm sure they were hoping for additional scholarships to be awarded.
