Anyone checked in on BVD?
Not many to vacate before going into the negative.
News breaking now that the allegations were made by Junior, retaliating after learning that Pruitt and Lulu had had a “torrid” affair.
It was the first I had heard of it and surprised me some too. It was just a quick mention from an espn insider article:
"Taggart's inclusion might surprise some, but several sources noted internal issues at FAU that make it a potential hot spot in 2021."
So maybe some of the fsu smoke was legit. While 5-4 isn't a terrible record for a place like that (especially this year) Kiffin did have them 11-3 the year before. I don't think his seat is that warm, just found it to be an interesting tidbit.
would love to see UT hire willie t
All kidding aside, it might be a good landing spot for Muschamp if expectations for the near future are way down, and his hire can be about cleaning up the program. Potential sanctions and loss of recruits/players should allow him some time to work with. Give him 4-5 years to show them what he can do.
Please keep Pruitt related topics here and the coaching search thread is here:

What that jackass did, because he didn’t like prestige that Schiano’s name brought, was criminal.
Yep a real coach that wasn’t hired
Schiano was a better choice
First and 10: The truth hurts, but here it is. Tennessee, you will never be elite again
Interesting quote from the article:
“Eight of the 14 SEC coaches who began the 2019 season have been fired.”
Listening to Dan Patrick show and just now he said that a source informed him that Tenn was handing out Macdonald’s bags to recruits with cash in them. Said UT got sloppy as well as Georgia but ncaa not buzzing around Georgia as of yet (probably because they weren’t so dumb as to turn themselves in).

Tennessee is playing a dangerous game with the NCAA enforcement
I read this, and I'd like to agree, but what if Schiano had been hired at UT 3 years ago?
And the author's contention that they can't hire the next Dabo, because there's only 1 Dabo, and he's at Clemson, is flawed and circular.
Dabo wasn't Dabo for a long time- and certainly not when he was hired at Clemson. It took years.
But certainly UT needs much better leadership from the AD and the head coach.
And their fans need to be patient.
And this re-build, if it ever starts, will take quite a while to complete.
But with the right coach, they could be in the playoff. No doubt.
Me, too. That would ensure another decade of mediocrity, at best.
The UT administration has absolutely thrown Pruitt and their program under the bus. The NCAA has been totally incapable of enforcement action against major offenders, even with FBI surveillance. LSU, I am talking about you. Sankey's comments in this article were spot on about the NCAA's lack of enforcement.
Now, by admitting to a multitude of serious infractions by multiple people, UT has made the NCAA's case and they will have no choice but to bitch slap the Vols. Fessing up to the NCAA never goes well for the confessor.
UT is Kentucky with a huge stadium...and debt to match.
UGa AD bailed this past Fall...hopefully some foreshadowing there.
But that would mean they fixed the dysfunction in the Athletic Department as well as the University administration as a whole. That's a tall order that I just can't see being accomplished in the near future.
