Nope... that the Governor, and by extension, We The People, are in change of our educational system and NOT the schools/universities.

    This “we the people” horseshit.

    You, and yours only.

You even exclude actual people from your “we.”

You You You. “We we we”

Liberal -adjective (definition per the Oxford Dictionary): in Education -concerned with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience; rather than with technical or professional training.

The goal, as understood by those in higher ed, is the development of a well-rounded person through a variety of subjects as well as fostering a lifelong passion for learning and supplementing one's chosen major. Academic freedom and broad curriculum choices take these concepts into account.

Question for GatorRick and others: Exactly what courses at UF were you "forced" to take that offended you so much? What courses on "alternative lifestyles" (your words) were part of your degree requirements?

If you want restrictive education there's always Hillsdale Indoctrination College.

Poster cannot cite a single case of a REQUIRED course of which he speaks. DeS was never able to provide any evidence of it's existence when asked. Simply a made-up premise to impose a radical right Project 2025 ideology.

So now, we just secretly denounce people as Jews....oops, sorry, DEI and immediately they are guilty?

    The Chancellor approves.

Perhaps it is bad that UF doesn't have a permanent President, Provost, Dean for Liberal Arts and Sciences, Dean for Medicine, Dean for Law, or Dean for Engineering.

All those decades of work, to attain top 10 status of U.S. public universities, flushed down the crapper.
Was it worth it Floridians, in attempting to "own the libs" and root out diverse thought?

U.F. will survive and I believe eventually prevail, but shame on all the elected / appointed officials who've gotten us on the downward. Happy now Hosseini?
