Stop it Bog , that would require some forward thinking.
Love that idea and I will be the counter as you guys come around with Stella in hand.
You do have a nice seat Lurk.
This is classic Matherly
It's kind of a south Florida-y look with that tile roof and all. But I like the design overall. More shade... please. But if it had blue tiles instead... that would be great!
The lovely lady that has the seats including the one I sit in was a long term booster when wingtee was a player. She got first dibs on seat selection when the Mac was new and chose wisely.
The President of UF's seats are on the other side of the aisle and not as good because the home plate "blue" is usually blocking his view of the plate.
Oh so now you're saying since the lovely lady had suffered enough to sit through Wingtee's pitching the UAA is still trying to pay her back by giving her the best seats in the house for 30 straight years. That actually makes better sense. LOL
I'm just glad I know someone that that really enjoys his Gator baseball.
LMAO--I'm dying here--
"You gonna do something or just stand there and bleed?"......Kurt Russell, Tombstone.
Matherly , I love you man ! Thank God I didn’t have to watch me pitch either. If she thought it was ugly on her side of the backstop she should have experienced it from my side of the backstop.
Props to ya Winger for letting us all have some fun. That's good stuff thinking about from your perspective. Merry Christmas my good man.
And Merry Christmas to you bro ! Hope one day we can break bread and sip on something cold
@Matherly87, Ah the great thing about Wing. That something cold is likely to be 2 beers at most as he will be done. A cheap bar date with good stories. You could do worse in life...
@wingtee: I am trying to convince the wife of Nashville in addition to Oxford. So far, a hard sell. I haven't given up on BR either. Need to see. I am thinking I can pull off a family Easter in New Orleans (my aunt and uncle live there) and have the LSU series as part of the weekend...
Do you buy tix off the resale sites for away game like that? Or, are there seats set aside for visiting fans behind the dugout?
I hate to bring it up--but was that about the same time "L" screens were introduced to UF Baseball?
Ya know folks--
Even with all the jokes, good times, questions, and discussions we have here--We need to also appreciate the title of this thread and realize that we have two more years to not only make memories at the "Mac"--but to cherish the memories made by every alum player and fan before today's current roster--
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's to all and anxiously awaiting the spring!
2 year “farewell tour.”
Wonder what is in the works?
Any suggestions? We should email Scott Stricklin with our ideas?
Don't know, that's for the powers that be to decide--but--
I would think at various points in the two-year time frame recognition of our SEC Championships, Regional and Super Regional Championships, All-SEC players, and all CWS appearances highlighted by our Championship Titles obviously would be both appropriate and appreciated by players and fans alike.
Just a very positive way to carry the Gator tradition of Gator Baseball into their new digs--
Haven’t studied the site plan for the new football facility intended for the Mac, but I wonder, if they plan to mark the Mac’s pitching mound and home plate? Build a little park around it? Similar to Resenblatt?
I carried one out every time it was my start. Umps didn’t think to highly of it though
Might have to wait until Omaha this year. Have a cruise in Sept and golf in Scotland in August . It would be a tough sell for my wife too.
