Perhaps and worse, won’t develop like he might have. UF would have been a great investment.
Of the little I watched of their game the OL still wasn't impressive. And this will be Kings last year, so their OL wont have his legs to mask them next year. He would be competing for CCGs, playoffs, & NCs here. There he will be a middle of the road acc player.
Bummer. Hope he recovers quickly.
Players are going to transfer and while it can seem uncomfortable or suspicious it is what we all believed players should have the right to do. There are many reasons a player might decide to transfer(academics, PT, personality fit, home sick) but the deeper a roster the more likely. No idea of course why this kid is moving on but when it happens to us I hope we realize it's part of the environment and was bound to happen.
Christian Williams to Portal
Does this help with Adeleye?
“Massive fail from this staff.
Williams quitting with this horrific depth is corny. He has to be frustrated with the staff.”
looks like it’s not a depth issue in this case. Is the Rumph referred to in the thread our former DL coach Chris Rumph?
No...Mike Rumph. He used to be a DB there. Damn good too
We’ve been through that level of class disintegration. Seems like that happened with the Chimp. But it’s difficult to field a team with depth when classes disappear. Seems like same thing happened with Urb Myers final UF class. Great great great on paper but around ten never made it to campus.
An even bigger problem is that it is not just one class disintegrating. They are losing guys that stayed around even through Taggart, despite being recruited by Fisher in their best recruiting class of the past 4 years: Laborn, Matthews, and McKitty recently. That suggests very little buy in to what Norvelle is selling. That should mean another very bad year and more and more difficulty recruiting to the standards of FSU over the past few decades.
Wayyyy more than 10 made it in Urban's last year and a lot of them lasted until 2013-2014 but overall point taken
I meant “ten” never enrolled but not sure of the real number. What year was the final Urban Meyer class? I cannot remember
Darn it. We should pull for them to sink, like a rock.
