I don't understand why some feel Borders is dispensable. Maybe that isn't the right word, but I see some write that there might not be room for this kid or they think he'll be processed out.
He is an amazing athlete and is big, fast, strong, plays at the highest level of GA hs football AND is a great kid and student. Plus he is very pro-UF on social media.

Oh yeah, he just made the Butkus watch list for the best hs LB.

Yeah, that is exactly the kid I want playing for the competition.

    Worth mentioning:
I saw a tweet by Marshall that just said "August 1st". By the time I came here to post he took it down.

It’s pretty common to see talk about processing kids on these message boards. There is some similar talk on other boards about Rucker right now and he is one of our best rated recruits! In general I think talking badly about any committed kid sucks - they are people not commodities and some do in fact read these boards. Apparently Mullen is not a fan or processing, though. Kids might not stick to their commitments but coaches absolutely should.

    All hail the Chief!

With borders specifically it’s just the fact that he got the offer from Stanford that he really wanted, and nobody could blame him for choosing Stanford. I haven’t seen anybody that wants him out, more of a “we need a back up plan if he decides to bolt” scenario.

I think it was the talk of him possibly getting in to Stanford, not being processed.

With 130 Division 1 programs, finishing in the top 10 or 15 is not “average” recruiting. That said, we are not getting 5 stars out of HS, if that is diehard’s point, so not yet elite. Mullen May use the transfer portal better than most to address depth needs. Mullen has brought in a few 5 star transfers in Cox, Grimes and Shorter. Pouncey, Shorter, Grimes and Van Jeff helped shore up a weak secondary group. His last two recruiting classes (last year and this upcoming year) have helped on the HS front.

You can tell that their fan base really does believe what we say constantly, that Kirby is not a good coach, though a great recruiter, because they are melting down with the misses they are taking right now, that might make them a top 5 class instead of a top 1-3 class.

We certainly don’t have a monopoly on delusional, entitled fans.
